IN MEMORY OF DASH

Dearest friends, Yesterday was a wonderfully fun day. Weenie got to meet lots of foster and adopted doggies from ATDR and DROH as well as the the people that love and care for them. Today's post was supposed to be a joyous one, full of pictures of all of us playing tug of war, being spoiled rotten and everything else that goes along with one of our outings but something very tragic happened yesterday, so Mommy just doesn't have the heart to do the posted we intended. Aunt Judy sent Mommy an email early this morning saying that one of DROH's young dachshunds downed yesterday. So now there is another angel that has crossed the bridge far to soon. Saturday, he and his foster Mom, along with other DROH fosters and volunteers attended Paws In The Park in Pearland, a fundraiser benefiting many different rescue groups. His chance at a forever home was near but it wasn't to be. Our hearts go out to his fosters who loved him. They are crushed and need our prayers as they blame themselves for his loss.

RIP --Dash was on a play date where there was an above ground pool with a gate and a fence around it. He apparently went up the stairs, under the gate and fell in the pool. Dash lived through many challenges in his life-he was homeless for a long time, almost died from his first heart worm treatment and it was determined he was not strong enough to go through the second. He was loved by many and will be mourned. He was a happy boy, and loved to chase squirrels.

Mommy loaded these pictures last night so you could see some of our friends, so we have decided to show them to you anyway. All of the doggies are or were fosters at one time. Some you have met before on my blog, others are new. Some we don't even know there names but it doesn't matter. They are all loved as sweet Dash was and always will be.

Dear Mona and Weenie,
We're so sorry to heard about what happen with Dash but we believe he has now found his forever home and will always thinking about his foster mom.

Also, we might not be able to blog for awhile as we need to concentrate in treating my sister, autumn. Will update our blog as soon as we know what is the answer for her sickness :)

Love,

We are all so sorry to hear about this. Accidents happen but it doesn't make it any easier because it was an accident. There was a special job that only Dash could do so he was called to the Bridge early to take care of it. Rest assured that he is in very good hands.
