"I've seen a look in dogs' eyes,
a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt,
and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts."

Hi Blogville friends,

Today has been a very lazy day at our house. Mommy has been resting up for our outing tomorrow when I make my debut to the rest of her dachshund rescue volunteer friends. Mommy has been thinking about Shelby since she saw her yesterday. Mommy went back and looked at every picture she has every taken of Shelby from the day Miss Sandra found her until last night. She also read all our posts about her. It is amazing the journey she has come, from an almost dead pit to a beautiful flower. Mommy was thinking about how much we owe all of you in Blogville for helping save her life and how important fund raising is, because without all of your help, she wouldn't be with us today. Not just Miss Shelby but all the other doggies and kitties you have all helped. Mommy is so proud of everyone who makes the auctions possible.

There are other rescues going on in this world, not just by humans of animals but animals by animals. Mommy wants to share two. You can cry if you want. Mommy did!!

Gotta go now......Dancing with the Stars is repeating tonight & then the final episode of PIT BOSS for the season, Can't miss that!!

Love & {{{huggies}}}....Weenie & Mona

Awww, thank you for sharing Phantom in the snow - very sweet of you to do.

The change in Shelby is so wonderful - almost like a new dog. But she is the same dog, just now a loved one.

Thank you! For the links, for the update on Baby Joshua and Miss Shelby, and for sharing your wonderful babies who still feel sprightly enough to destuff a stuffie or two. A good sign of healthy, happy dogs.
