Dearest Dogs With Blogs,
Mommy believes in miracles, always has, always will. In the last 2 months we have seen a broken, almost to the point of death, pit bull blown into a beautiful dog. Kind of like flowers that wilt but then come back with a little water and naturing better than before. Our lives will never be the same again because of Shelby. What can we say except God Bless all of you for being a part of Shelby's transformation. Without your prayers, support and generosity, we don't know where we would be. Many tears have been shed for Shelby by many loving doggies, kitties and humans but we have had some fun along the way. Mack's contest and Shelby's Auction are 2.
The Auction this last weekend was a huge success, even more than anyone expected. More donations are coming in too, as a result of the interest and concern felt for Shelby. With puppies due anytime now the funds collected will go a long way towards treating Shelby and making sure the pups get all the care they will need. Mommy would like to thank all the contributors for the auction items, you are all the best. I know Mommy loves what we were lucky enough to have the highest bids on.
Mommy has tried to post pictures and updates on Shelby whenever she can. It amazes us that Shelby has come alive, like she has. So here are pictures of her progress from Mommy's last visit on August 28th to her first. If Shelby isn't a miracle, Mommy has never seen one. Also what would a post be without flowers and since daisies are so vibrant, her are some of Mommy's favorites.

The Daisies are gorgeous.
We are so amazed by the progress Shelby has made. She is truly a miracle and we think it is remarkable how trusting she is considering all she has been through.
Mom believes in miracles too. I think it is a miracle she still has her sanity after us....

Oh Mona, you and your mom and Sandra and the pitties are the ones who are so wonderful - we felt honored to donate (we wish we could have donated to the auction too) and wish there was more we could do to help out Shelby and her puppies. We are so excited to meet them - we know they will all be beautiful just like their mom! Thank you so much for keeping us updated and for helping Shelby out so so much!
It's so wonderful that she's come along like this. It's due to the love and care she's gotten from Sandra and you and your friends, I'm sure, that she's finding life worthwhile. Um...she sure does look pregnant, doesn't she? Ah, well. I'm sure they'll all be very special pups and will all find homes.

What a transformation!! I am so thrilled for Shelby and for your mommy and Sandra. I felt just horrible having our wedding when you folks were going through such a rough time.
Sandra (bless her loving heart) took time to email me and ask about the wedding and that just made me ache all over with love!!
For her to take her precious time to think of that when so much was going on with her and Shelby.. well, it just took my breath away.
Please tell Sandra and your mom that THEY are as deeply in my prayers as Shelby is.

The change is so amazing. It makes our hearts feel a little lighter. But with so many kind people pulling for her and taking care of her it can be no other way. We know she will only get better and her puppies will do great.

Wow, it's so amazing to see her progress! We love that she really did pull through. She must know how well loved she is now.
Our momma says that dog people sniff each other out. They know how to find each other and know how to support each other and they know that dog people (kitty folks, too) and the best people in the whole, wide world!
Shelby is a living miracle. Her puppies will be beyond miraculous because without you and Sandra they would never be born - their momma would be dead.
We know that there is a special place in heaven for people who take the unlovely into their hearts and homes and love them unconditionally.
Wesa agree with the OP Pack that her middle name should be Daisy as she has developed into a bee-u-tea-full flower of a girl. Wesa were so happy to be involved in JD and Max's auction...what wonderful schnauzers...and hope that Ms. Shelby and her puppies continue to thrive and have a wonderful life. Wesa love the updates and wesa think that Shelby will have her puppies on Gracie Lynn's birthday (Sept. 12th)...crossing-paws for our guesstimate (as long as it is a healthy guess...wesa not sure how long puppies stay in the mommy as wesa never were mommies or daddies...Thanks God!).

Wow, she's looking amazing! I'm so glad you found her. You were in the right place at the right time as was Shelby! I just can't get over how much better she looks!
I wish I could afford to donate. If I could, I would. I can't barely cover the bills and my unemployment runs out at the end of the month. But I've kept everyone in my prayers.
It touches our hearts to see how far Shelby has come.. She looks absolutely amazing.. So happy and healthy looking.
And she surely looks pregnant.. Was she pregnant when they found her? We look forward to the puppies pics ..

To see the early photos of Shelby made FH get all leaky and even we - butch and manly doggies though we are! - had to claim we had something in our eyes when we were looking at them! But to see her now, well our little hearts leapt with joy! You and your mommy and Sandra are her angels and we are just so, SO thankful that Shelby was found and loved by you. For her to trust again is just so amazing - FH says this proves that us doggies surely are the higher species. We have to say we can only agree, he he!
