DROH DOGS AT THE DOG SHOW AND THE ITALIAN

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"If I have any beliefs about immortality , it is that certain dogs I have known will go to heaven, and very, very few persons."
---- James Thurber
Hi friends,

Get ready girls. Here is the Italian. WOW!!! Mommy said if she was 40 years younger she'd want him for herself. I have to admit he is very handsome and that accent would just melt a girl's heart but my Sammy is much more to my taste.

Mommy here........"I might be old but I'm not dead, Mona"

Yesterday I told you about Poppy's possible adoption but I forgot to tell you that London might get adopted too. She is a little bundle on energy and this was the best pic Mommy could take of her. She is a very tiny little brindle girl. Mommy is gonna tell ya what happened on Thursday, we wasn't there on Thursday but Aunt Judy told Mommy about what happened. This is her story:

This year the Girl Scouts were earning badges by helping walk rescue dogs that needed a potty break or just to stretch their legs. Included in the group that was helping DROH was a girl that fell in love with London on first sight. She asked if London was available for adoption. So she was told if she wanted London, she would have to get her Mom to fill out an application and see if it would be approved. Funny thing is, it turned out that she lives right around the corner from the lady in charge of our booth. Around 8 pm Thursday night there was a knock at her door and it was the girl with an application filled out by her Mom & Dad. She was so excited because they said she she could have London and she would be her responsibility.
So every doggie, please keep your paws cross that the application is approved, the home visits goes good and they pass the Vet check!!!

Tonight, Mommy says we are gonna show you some of us that worked like dogs for the last 4 days to make sure that DROH was represented well. I think all my fellow dachshunds did a splendid job.

Bandit

Any dachshund in a yellow rescue harness is available for adoption.

This is Paw Paw and his new Mommy....remember he was adopted in June.

Mommy says I should make sure to tell everybody that me and Poppy were not the only dachshunds working the kissing booth. Poppy and I were a team and the others worked on Thursday and Sunday.....there might have been more that we missed.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!

Gotta go no. It's way past the old lady's bedtime.
Love & {{{huggies}}}....Mona
PS...no kisses tonight, I'm still resting my lips!!

Mona, that Italian guy is yummers! But I agree, Sammy is still the best for you.

I got a great idea reading your post. I have an adopted dog, Scarlet, who cannot walk. Maybe I should get that carrier worn by the girl carrying Bandit too.

That doggie in the zebra pouch looks none too pleased. Goodness, just because you have short leggies doesn't mean you can't motor about on your own.

Glad you had some relief in the kissing booth. Sounds like an exhausting workout.

OMD!!!

Look at all of the fun that you guys have been having!

We are sorry we have been away. Mom has not been a very good blog visitor.

We sure LOVED seeing that you made soooo very many people happy!! That sweet little girl and that older gentleman... you are very lucky to have the opportunity to make people happy Mona and the Mommy!

We wished soooo very much that we could have come to that event. Why couldn't Houston be 2 hours away instead of 4?!

Looking at all of those pictures, we saw a little Zoe look-a-like. That made us a little sad.

We went to visit her and K-8 this past weekend. We are going to try to post about that today.

Keep up the good work Mona!! You make us smile every time we see you!

Lots of Luv & kisses
Addie, Lucie, and Hailey

Great photos from the kissing booth. I guess your tongue needs to rest up now. I'm so happy that those doggies found homes and I'm crossing my paws that it all works out.

p.s. Not sure what your mom sees in that guy...
