QUOTE OF THE DAY: (coutesy of Scuffy, Lacy and Stanley)

"The most important roll of DOGS today is to be our friends
and companions."
Hi dear friends,
It was a fun and exciting Friday and Saturday, but today after this post me and Mommy are gonna go take a looooog nap. I would never had dreamed kissing could be sooo exhausting. I was so tired on Saturday I had to recruite somebody to help me. Her name is Poppy and I'll show you how well she learned the job in a little bit.
First off I'm gonna copy and paste for you the tally as of last night from an e-mail Kayla sent out (she'd the head lady this year in charge of DROH's booth): Drum roll, please.
After I added in credit card receipts the total is now 2542.49 for 3 days.
Last year we made 2239.00 for the 4 days
WOW!!!!!!!! That's a lot of heartworm treatments!!
Mommy decided we would stay home today since she is an old lady and needed to rest up for work tomorrow.
So here we go. Hope ya don't get too tired of seeing all the kissing going on.
Mommy: "Mona, you have to save the kissing for the paying customers".
Mona: "I'll always have kisses for you Mommy".

(at Aunt Judy's after we was ready)

(my main outfit)

(my second outfit change)

(getting ready for my next outfit change)

Before the pictures, I have to show you the correct procedure to kiss
Step 1 > lick your lips real good......

(my third outfit change)

Step 2 > Gaze into the eyes....

Step 3 > going in!!!

Let me introduce you now to Poppy, my apprentice. She is available for adoption....."No Mona, remember, she's getting adopted by some people that saw her last night?" Mommy said if they pass their home visit and vet check this will be her new Mommy. We let her have a free kiss!!

I really liked kissing the men and the children best but Mommy said she had to watch me and make sure the men didn't carry me away, so there aren't hardly any men in these pictures. Whatever. There was one man....a very handsome Italian who came back several times and kept buying my kisses, at least 5 dollars worth and held me for a long time!!! He asked if I was available for adoption and but Mommy said NO!!!!!
Then he kissed Mommy and said "thanks for raising such a beautiful daughter!!" Mommy took his picture but it's on Aunt Judy's camera so we gotta wait until she sends it. Believe me girls, it will worth the wait!!

All the pictures on this post were taken yesterday. Our previous post was Friday's pictures but we spent the night at Aunt Judy's so we just posted some of the dog pictures, and of course one of me in my Friday outfit, since Mommy wasn't comfortable using a computer she hadn't used before.

Let the kissing begin:

These next two pictures are of a very special man. I don't know his man or his wife's but they were some very sweet people. He was in a wheelchair and he gave me $10.00 for a kiss and Mommy said he could hold me if he wanted. He started crying & said I reminded him of their little wire hair dachshund that had recently died. Mommy and I sat with them for a long time and talked about their little girl and they said they'd like another d0g but they lived in an apartment now. So what? We adopt to people that live in apartments and we have some wire hairs too. While his wife filled out the adoption application, I sat in his lap and gave him lots of kisses free of charge. Keep your fingers crossed. If they get approved and pass a vet check, that's one more happy forever home for some doggie.

We didn't get to walk around much, because I was very busy, but I gotta show you what Mommy bought me for being such a good worker. Mommy said they looked good enough for her to eat but I said NO!! you bought them for me!! And they aren't chocolate!!

There was also a very special little girl there. She couldn't talk and her Daddy said she couldn't hear either. Her eyes lit up when she saw me and Mommy let her hold me with her Daddy's help. I was very gentle and let her hug me. Her Daddy cried too, just like Mommy was, because he said she had never even wanted to touched a pup before. She got free kisses too but her Daddy gave us a 20.00 donation. He even gave Mommy a peek on the cheek........she wasn't charging for her kisses.

OK...enough about me. We got lots more pictures to show you but the old girl is getting sleepy and needs a nap, so before we share a few videos (don't blink your eyes are you'll miss them), here are a few pictures of the d0gs Mommy couldn't keep her eyes off....don't worry.....we're gonna do a posts with lots more dogs, some of the show dogs getting groomed and one with all the DROH doggies and why knows what else.

And here was Mommy's favorite dog. Her name is Sadie (like Mommy's nickname) and she is pregnant. Her owner said she is a Metropolitan Mastiff. OMG...she was gorgeous and had silky, smooth hair that felt like satin. I wonder if Mango the Mastiff knows her?

Remember don't blink!

Love & {{{huggies}}.....Mona
PS.......I'm kissed out!!

Mona, you and Mom must be exhausted! I am so proud of you and the pictures and videos are so cool. There was a dog that looks just like me. It was nice to hear that some of the dogs might have found their forever homes. You looked so nice in all of your outfits. I can't wait for more, but please go and rest now.
