DACHSHUND PLAY DATE IN VIDEOS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
My dear friends,
This post is dedicated to one of DROH's pups, that went to the rainbow bridge today. His name was Wienie Boy. He never had a chance at life, never had the fun that the doggies you will see in the videos on this post had and who was very sick from the time he came to DROH. He had Congestive Heart Failure. Maybe, had we gotten him sooner he could have been saved, but it wasn't to be.
R.I.P Wienie Boy

You will be missed.

Today was another wonderful day at my Aunt Judy's until we got the news about Wienie Boy leaving for the bridge. Us doggies didn't know right away what had happened, but the Mommies did and when they all started crying, we knew too. Neither Mommy nor I ever met him but Aunt Judy and Meredith had and said even though he was very sick he was the sweetest boy. His foster was devastated by his death and says she doesn't think you can foster again. That would be terrible but understandable.

We took bunches of pictures and lots of videos, between all 3 Mommies exactly 100. But tonight Mommy decided to just share some of the videos. It will take at least 2 more posts to show ya everything we did. I even taught Mikey how to roach and then Mandie Joe starting roaching too. Of course, Aunt Judy's yard is blooming with flowers like crazy, so Mommy will have to do one about the flowers too.

DROH picked up 2 dogs recently from one of the shelters, that had very bad skin infections that they named Brooks and Dunn, ya know like Brooks and Dunn the country singers. They have both recovered now and this first video is a very quick shot of Dunn with Meredith his foster. You would never had recognized him as the same hairless dog that was picked up. He is adorable but a little shy and has a problem with his gums and his tongue hangs out of his mouth a bit.

There were 9 of us dachshunds there and Aunt Judy decided "the more the merrier" so she went and got her next door neighbor's dachshund, Shotzie, to come over and play with us. She is the red long hair being welcomed in by everybody. You have met her on my blog before.

This next video was taken when Shotzie was going back home.

Remember me telling you about Ray, that someone caught on fire? Meredith was the volunteer that picked him up from the county shelter were he was. As Mommy was taking this next video, Meredith told the Mommies about what happened when she picked him up. Listen very carefully. It is a horror story the way he was treated and this is what we have to deal with at lot. Thank God DROH got him out of that hell hole.

This last video is too funny. You'll hear my Mommy laughing in the back ground. Me and Mikey was playing bitey face but the little runt doesn't know when to stop. I warned him but he is hard headed, like me, and wouldn't stop so had to put him in his place.

Well, it's been a very active day and we are exhausted so Mommy said we gotta say good night, so Good night my dear friends!!!
Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all.......Mona
