JUST LITTLE OLE ME AND MY ELEPHANT

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
(courtesy of Remington @ http://our-remington.blogspot.com)

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle.
I just wish HE won't trust me so much."
--- Mother Teresa

Hi friends,

Can you guess what I'm doing in this picture? Mommy thinks it is funny, so she's decided to add it first. I'm under the computer table hiding from the thunder and lighting. That's where I am right now. I told Mommy she could handle this post by herself because I refuse to come out tell it stops making all that not racket outside.

Mommy here....

It rained downtown this afternoon but by the time I left work it had stopped and it was 97 degrees....way too hot!! Much too hot for me to be outside but Mona loves to go out and get a good roach in as soon as I get home.

The first 2 pictures were taken through the patio blinds. Mona sat on the patio, waiting for me to come out, but when I said no she decided to roach without an audience.

As you can tell she hasn't lost her touch. I let her play awhile but then it starting getting overcast and looked like the heavens were ready to open up, so I made her come inside.
Saturday, I posted a few pictures of how gorgeous it is at my dentist, but being the Dooffus I am, I deleted some of the pictures. Here they are for no special reason, except that I love the color of them and like to look at them. I think these are "Crepe Myrtle"? Am I right?

So, Mona picked her pink elephant to play with when I forced her to come in. Here are a few pictures of her and "Big Pinkie Poo". First she shook it like she was mad at it but then she cuddled with it. It is one of the few stuffies she hasn't destuffed.

"Mona, come out from under the table now!!"

"NO!! Mommy!! ~ I don't wanna, it's still too scary out there!!"

"Mona, it's time for bed, don't make me crawl under there to get you!"

"OK, I'm coming, but you gotta carry me!!"

You and I think alike, Mona! I like to hide underneath the computer table too but now I need to find a new spot because mom gated me out of the computer room! I got wrapped up in her camera wires one night that it stormed and down it came. OOPS! She wasn't happy about it one bit! *sigh*

Love ya lots

Mona, we don't like thunder at all either! Chewy barks at it (as if that's going to stop it, BOL!) and I usually hide under the dry bar.

Great roaching!!

Mona, maybe you can talk your mom into getting a Thundershirt to see if that would help you out? I know Cloud has one and said it really does work during the storms.

Ha, we just left Mayzie and Brudder Range doing some major roaching too - bet that grass felt good, Mona.

Phantom says to tell you he so understands about the storms. He has spent a lot of time this week in his cave too.

I can't believe I seem to have missed this post. This morning I was thinking to myself, "I wonder what Mona is up to." so we decided to have a look and we missed a post from last Tuesday! A post with lots of adorable Mona photos, no less. I sure hope that you weren't too, too scared, Mona. I worry about my friends who are bothered by storms and by fireworks when it gets boomy outside. You'll be safe as can be with Mommy, you know.

The storm was scary but we needed the rain so badly.

It's great to see you rolling around and having fun Mona!

Mona, tell your mom to email us. We need to set up a meeting date for all of us dog bloggers in our area. We believe that would be soooo much fun! AND your mom still has not met Hailey yet.

Lots of Luv & Kisses
