ATDR MARCH ADOPTIONS

Rescuers....

"Rescuers, rescue supporters, and volunteers do not walk on water. We don't wear capes and tights or leap tall buildings. We aren't better than anyone else, but we do pursue a cause that we believe makes us better than before we started. We make mistakes; we feel we can't do enough at home; we rant out in frustration; we lose our tempers and get snappy; we have to reject people sometimes for the good of a dog. We are not always likeable. What we do is draining, emotionally, financially and physically. Please bear with us and forgive us our flaws, because we are doing work that's bigger than we are."

The numbers say it all.  We always try to keep bonded pairs together and not break up families and during March we were able to do that.

4 of the pups from the Ingleside rescue operation were adopted too!!

God is good........remember DOG spelled backwards is DOG.

Reba is Drew's sister

Reba was surrendered to the ATDR Inn along with Drew who may be her brother. She is a super sweet girl. She is timid at first then falls in love with everyone she greets including other dogs and older kids. She loves to snuggle with you while watching a movie or in bed at night. Doing great on potty training. So, when you are ready to adopt a wonderful girl, here's your sweetheart.

Drew is Reba's brother
Drew , this beautiful chocolate standard was surrendered to the ATDR Inn along with his sister, Reba. He is a super happy boy who seems to love everyone he greets including other dogs and kids. He loves to snuggle with you while watching a movie or in bed at night. Doing great on potty training. So, when you are ready to adopt a wonderful boy, he's your man.  Drew would love a home with Reba, but they are not as bonded as we originally thought but they would both love to go to a home with another canine companion!

Sadie was surrendered to a local area shelter in the valley with her pup, Molly!  These two are seriously bonded and happy to be reunited in thier foster homes.  Sadie is loving and gentle and learning to be a cherished family pet, along with her adorable puppy.  The pair are excited to be out of the shelter and we are waiting for the all clear on health issues to get them both spayed.  Both now have an adoption pending to the same family - so they will get to be together always!

Of course you all know this little fella's story.

Meet Chula and Bigote. Chula is a sweet, people loving black & tan wire haired female. Bigote - which means "mustache" in Spanish - is a fun, happy little silver wire haired boy. And yes, he has an impressive mustache as his name would imply. Every day is a fiesta with these two dogs. They are both super sweet, social, loving and adorable. Chula is a little more reserved initially than Bigote and she likes to stick closer to the human(s). Bigote is a fearless explorer. They're both young with high energy. They love to run, play and wrestle with each other. Both dogs are small so they require a secure fence with no gaps or holes underneath because they're smart and will exploit any security breach they discover. They'll keep you on your toes. Chula and Bigote came into rescue together, possibly siblings? They happily share a crate and we suspect that they are bonded so it would be ideal if they could be adopted together. But if that's not possible then a home with another playful dog would be great too. Both dogs are healthy, fully vetted and ready to go to their new home immediately. If you're looking for two awesome new amigos then Chula and Bigote can't wait to bring the fiesta to su casa, vamanos!

ADOPT THE PAIR AND WE'LL MAKE YOU A SMOKING DEAL.

Congrats to all those dogs on being adopted! I was amazed at the variety of colours, I didn't even know you could get Dachshunds in those shades and patterns.
