QUOTE OF THE DAY:

Cecily Joque - Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County about adopting a senior dog.

"If they have a week, if they have a month, does it really matter? If you treat them with kindness and respect, and give them a cushy bed, they'll love you for it."

Hi dearest friends.......Weenie here

Yesterday Mommy did our March adoption post for ATDR. I was so happy to learn that 2 senior ladies, Ginny & Forsythia, finally found their furever homes. It made me think about when I was adopted a year ago. I was 9 years old and blind, but Mommy didn't care. She wanted another dog because my Sissy, Mona wasn't getting any younger, Mommy thinks she's 9 or maybe 10 like me, and had just gotten Cushings. She didn't want to go through what she did when she lost Samamtha, be alone and lonely. She could have adopted a younger dog but she choice me instead.

Yesterday Mommy posted the poem "ONE BT ONE". I felt that same way too when Mommy choice me even though I couldn't see her or my dear Mona. I have lots of doggie friends both young and old & I love everyone but Momm says there's something special about us oldtimers. So I got her to make Smilebox of me and some my senior friends.
