IF TEARS COULD BUILD

Friends,

My heart is shattered but I still have Mona & Weenie to care far so I must force myself to go on. In all our lives there is somethimg or someone that changes our lives and actions. In my life there have been two. When I lost my Samantha, a new life began called rescue with a new little girl to love named Mona. The second was Shelby. What more can be said about my feelings for Shelby that everybody doesn't already know, so I won't go any furthur except to say I am better for having had her in my life. There are 2 spots in my heart filled with my 2 girls, Samantha & Shelby. Until we meet again, they will be there.
The poem below says it all.~~~ The Mommy

This is Shelby's last picture I took and it will added to the pictures of my girls on my desk at work.

IF TEARS COULD BUILD.

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane.
I would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say "Goodbye".
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.

My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to love you
-No one can ever know.

But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more;
To remember all the happy times
life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today
~~A hollowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay~~

Goodbye dear friends until we meet again.

Dear Sarah, I remember it helped to read and hear poems and songs describing the pain I was feeling when my Sophie died. The poem you posted here certainly describes it. You are such a wonderful person and have blessed many lives. We share your tears. I wish I could help to ease your and Sandra's pain.

Dear Sarah, Mona and Weenie,

I am so inspired by your generosity and love. Sarah, I first found your blog when you posted about the half-dead pit that Sandra found in a parking lot. I was so amazed by your friendship with Sandra, and how you jumped in immediately to help with blog posts, vet care, fundraising, etc. Then you got to name her Shelby, which was the perfect name.

Since then I have read all your blog posts, and even gone all the way back to your very first post! I thought the writing was funny and sweet and captured the dogs' voices perfectly. I anxiously awaited the results for Weenie when you first took him to the vet. I smiled when you adopted him! I keep Mona in my thoughts, especially with her Cushings diagnosis. And now I am so glad to know that you are coming out of this dark time.

Please take care of yourself, get rest, eat well, and let yourself grieve as much as you need to. If there is anything I have picked up from your blog, it is how gigantic your heart is, how much you are involved in the community, and how you have enriched my life with your blog.

This is my first time posting a comment to you, but I am a long time fan. I hope it helps you to know that you touch the lives of people in such a profound way, and many of those people are ones you will never meet!

Thank you for being such a wonderful person and for giving so much to the world.

Hi Sarah, I wad just watching a movie called Love's Unfolding Dream. You might have heard of it before. It is part of a wonderful Christian series called Love Comes Softly. Well anyways, in the movie a woman is mourning her children who died and the main character tells her: The reason you greive so deeply is because you love so deeply. I thought of you when they said this because of your great love for Miss Shelby.

Sarah,
This was a beautiful post and Anissa's nailed that comment.
It was so true! You had always been a doxie lover until you met Shelby and you did whatever it took with Sandra to bring her back. You gave her love, a love she had never known. I know with out a doubt Shelby thanks you. You are an inspiration.
Okay, the tears are rolling now.

Please take care of yourself during this time.

Merry Christmas and we love you!

My Dear Sarah....We've been out all day today and will be gone tomorrow too so I was just reading posts tonight without doing any commenting. But I have to comment on this. I can only imagine the pain that you and Sandra are going through right now. This is everyone's worst nightmare but it became a reality for Sandra and you are right there too. We will all grieve together for a long time to come and Blogville will never forget. I'm here if you need anything and will try to call you after the holiday rush is over.

Stay strong and please give Mona, Weenie, Brinks, Bella and Sandra and big hug from me.

We Love You All

I LOVE that last picture of Shelby. She really looked so good, didn't she!

The pain is not going to pass any time soon Miss Sarah. It is just too overwhelming. I hope Sandra and her husband, son, Brinks and Bella are doing a little better. Hang in there.

Your heart is so very big. And I know it has so much hurt- that words cannot express.
But you have made a difference in the lives of so many furries.
Your love is endless.
Have you ever heard of angels that live among us? I think you are one of them. And yes, angels do cry.
We send you love and gratitude for all that you have done to make a difference in all of our lives

I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I pray that the gain from giving them a wonderful home and loving them so dearly will someday outweigh the loss. You are such an amazing and inspiring lady.
