My Bad & Power of the Paw Needed

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

Our dear friend over at The Slimmer pugs, Mimi Roo, is having surgery on Friday to correct a problem with her knee. Mommy called her Mom, Miss Mindy, on the way home from work today, just to chat, and found out about the lovely Mimi Roo. Run on over there and spread some good vibes and the POWER OF THE PAW.

Weenie here........Confession is good for the soul or so Mommy says. I almost bit Mommy's finger off.

My Bad but it's all the Mommy's fault. You be the judge. Here's what happened. Mommy was eating lunch on July 4th and for desert she had a nice juicy peach. The phone rang and she left the peach pit wrapped in a paper towel on the end of the TV tray to answer the phone. Now I might be blind but there's nothing wrong with my sniffer. I also have been known to knock that TV tray over.
Bang!! Down went the tray and I grabbed the peach pit. You'd think I'd committed a crime or something the way Mommy screamed. I've never seen the woman move so fast. The chase was on. I ran off with that pit in my mouth. It was kinda hard to chew but it smelled so good. Mommy grabbed me and tried to get me to spit it out but I clinched by mouth shut. She could get another peach, so what was the problem, I ask you. She tried to pry my mouth open. It was stuck between my jaws. So she stuck her finger in my mouth and managed to get it out but
in the process her poor finger almost came off. It wouldn't have happened, if she'd thrown it away, don't ya think.

Mommy here......."Let me explain. Weenie has a very small mouth and I was terrified he's swallow the pit or it would get stuck on his trout. I think I heard something about the pod inside being poison. Is it? Anyway he sounded like he was chocking. I'd rather have a mad Weenie than a dead Weenie."
"Whatever, Mommy!" Here are some pictures she took of me after I was bad.

Here I am outside after she got my prize away from me. Do I look quilty?
Here I am during the lecture.
Outside again being ignored by Mommy. Sissy and Baby Girl must have gotten scared cause they ignored me too.
So I just decided to take a nap, alone, if nobody would play with me.

Mommy here.........

Please do not believe everything Weenie says. He was not being ignored, well maybe a little. Baby Girl has been with us since Friday and I don't think I'll let
Tina & Chris have her back. Weenie is a little jealous because he wants my lap to himself. Believe me there is room enough for both of them and Mona too.

Well, like they always say, there is two sides to every story. The Mommy was trying to save Weenie's life and Weenie just thought the Mommy was a big meanie for not letting him have that wonderful smelling peach pit.

I'm glad everyone is okay!

Love, Cupcake

Dear Weenie, this time we have to side with Mom - those peach pits are very hard and probably would not have gone down very well. Maybe next time you can get Mommy to play the trade up game, you give her the peach pit and she gives you something really tasty. Easy for us to say as we understand that in the heat of the moment the only thing the Moms want to do is to get that dangerous object out of your mouth. Glad all ended well.

We too have our paws crossed for Mimi Roo.

Umm Weenie, I am glad your mom got the peach pit from you. I've heard that they can be quite dangerous. Peach pits & dogs just don't mix well.

Hi Mona and Weenie, I agree with The Mommy, A mad Weenie is better than a dead Weenie! We are so sorry to hear about Baron. I have heard that some people adopt and when the ruff times come... they send them back. Sadley I think that it is common.

Licks,
Ruthie

Pee.s. We will pray for Baron!

Weenie, you have to be careful with things like that. You really could choke. Next time go for a piece of the soft peachy part!

I've heard that peach pits can be poisonous.

Thank you for your kind comments about my father's recent passing. It meant a lot.

Oh Weenie!! You gave us a scare there.. your poor mommy, she must've been super freaked out when she saw the peach pit in your mouth. We have to agree with your mommy that a mad Weenie is certainly better than a dead Weenie.. Yes, peach pits (and mommy's fingers) are baaaaaaad for doggies so stay away from them!!
