Today we celebrate 2 things. July 4th and Miss Shelby's Gotcha Day or as Mommy said before the day our Shelby became a Dog not a thing!! You can go to our June 29th post for the poem "I Am A Dog, Not A Thing" if you haven't read it yet.

One year ago, Mommy got a frantic call from Miss Sandra, Kissa Bull's Mom, about a almost dead pit bull she found in the parking lot at Northline Mall here in Houston. Mommy didn't like pits because everybody said they were evil and devil dogs. It took one look at Shelby to change all that. What happened after that first day, you all know about. Shelby became all of Blogville's girl, after just one post, and through all your kindness is with us today. Healthy, happy and well loved.

So today, Mommy wants to take you on a journey. The journey Miss Shelby took in her first year with all of us. Mommy has created a Smilebox chronicling those first days until the last taken March 25th.

Update.........

Remember what happened last year? Puppies!!! Not only did we save Shelby's life but 5 of her pups. Mommy said look of our girl's face says it all.
