A DOGS UNENDING LOYALTY

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
(courtesy of Lily @ http://www.lifewith5dogs.com/)

"Why is it that my heart is so touched whenever I meet a dog lost in our noisy streets?
Why do I feel such anguished pity when I see one of these creatures coming and going,
sniffing everyone, frightened, despairing of even finding its master?
~ Emil Zola

Hi friends,

Poor Mona has been moping around all afternoon. She kept waiting & waiting but the tiger cub she wanted me to meet never came. I'm not so sure I wanta meet any tigers or lions either but Mona said the Tiger she was waiting for isn't a cat but a DOG. Oh well, there are other doggies out there.

Things have been a little strange today anyway. Mommy got sick and scared herself almost to death. It's like this. She got up this morning and took her sugar cause she's diabetic you know and it was 101. Not bad when her sugar is always lots higher. She took her usual dose on insulin.....Big mistake. She ate a bowl of cereal with some fruit, not enough, and then had some errands to do and go to the grocery store. When she can back she didn't eat any lunch and while she was putting the groceries up, she got very hot and a little dizzy so she sat down with us and we all took a nap. A little later she got to shaking real bad so she went to take her sugar again. It was 55, normal is 70. So she drank a glass of orange juice and ate 1/2 of a peanut butter & apple butter sandwich with some milk, like the doctor tells her to do when she gets like this. Thank Goodness, it wasn't worse. So we been resting most of the day. A little while ago she took her sugar again and it was 149. Mommy has been diabetic for over 40 years and this is only about the 4th time it's ever happened to her where her sugar as bottomed out.

Sissy & I didn't know what to do. WE was worried too!! What happens to us, if something happens to our Mommy. We made her promise to call the doctor for a refresher course on when to or not to take insulin.

OK......now that that's out of our system, we gotta show you something. Aunt Judy sent us a link to a doggie's love story from a while back and of course it make her cry with joy. I've only been here for less than a month and I know what cry baby she is. But what can I say......Gotta love her!!

Also Aunt Judy sent us a picture she took on her new computer. That's right her computer! We didn't even know they make computers that can do that.

Then she sent this!!

WHAT THE HECK
"Now that's scary!!

Sissy is brokenhearted that she didn't see her Tiger, so it's just me saying......

See ya later alligator after while crocodile...........Weenie

Daddy has diabetes. His sugar used to bottom out all the time and once he crashed the car into the garage door because of that. Don't tell him I told you, K? I'm sorry we haven't been around much. We're trying to get back into our routine, but STUFF keeps coming up. I hope everything's OK with Tiger and everything.

Happy Birthday Weenie!

You are so lucky to be part of such a fun and loving family, and I hope you get plenty of kisses today (and maybe cherry yogurt too)!

I'm sorry Mona wasn't able to see her sweetheart Tiger. I hope Tiger's mommy is OK, as I think she is having a difficult pregnancy and is due soon.

PS - Weenie's incident with the garbage reminded me of the time your pack of 4 overturned the garbage and dragged coffee grounds and eggshells all over the house. They can be so naughty, but we forgive those little angel-faces every time!

Wow we have missed so much going on at your place! Hi Weenie! We are glad to meet you (yep, we are THAT behind!) We are sorry that you didn't get to meet Tiger - he is a sweetie - you have nothing to worry about there!

We are sorry your mom got so sick but we are glad that she was ok enough to be able to think straight and know what to do! That is a good thing. We hope she will be feeling better very soon and that this doesn't happen again!
