THIS & THAT & GUESS WHAT!!! UPDATE AT BOTTOM OF POST!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(courtesy of Twix)

"In a world where you can be anything, be yourself.

Remember the Turtle? He never makes any progress till he sticks is head out."

Hi Friends,

Well Mommy is at it again. We only got one more letter to finish in our Alpha Flower Posts the "Z". We're hoping to get a picture of Zona to post or if you know any other doggie or kitty with a "Z' encourage them to send us a picture. Mommy said it would be awful not to finish my flower posts.

OK....here is her next idea. She wants to do A-Z posts of some of my friends, doggies, kitties, hammies, horses or even Donkeys (like Lucy) in snow. I don't like snow!! No disrespect to my friends, like Khyra but it's too cold for me in Houston and it was 33 degrees this morning, way too cold for me and Mommy. I was over at Zona's earlier today and it was 17 degrees where she lives. I would never had come out from under the covers. I'm not the only wienie that don't like snow. Neither does Twix. She said this on one of last posts:

Don't you guys worry about me and all the snow. You won't see any photos of me running around all cracker dog crazy in it like some of the other wiener dogs in Blogville. Nope, I think I'll stay right here!
Twix

Wonder if Twix has any room under there for me?

Now for the Guess What!! Do you know who this little fella is . I bet Frankie Furter would guess. It's Baron, on of Shelby's puppies he named. This picture was taken yesterday at a Pet Co where he was being showed off at one of the adoption events by a volunteer that works with Bill. No not here in Houston but up where Bill has his Gulf Coast Bully Breed Rehabilitation & Rescue.

This picture was taken the day Mommy and Sandra took the puppies to where they would stay until they are adopted.

This picture was taken on December 15th. They have grown so big and
are gorgeous. Mommy talks to Bill all the time and when ever he posts pictures on his website, he always lets Mommy know. They will be spayed or neutered soon and have been learning socialization skills.

Well next Saturday, Mommy and Sandra are going to visit them. They are soooo
excited and I don't know how Mommy will last until then. It's gonna be a looong, week.

Now for Ms Shelby. These pictures were taken Thursday night.
She is doing so good. Every time Mommy sees her a little bit of her heart stays with her. She keeps getting stronger and stronger every day. Dr Briles is really pleased with her progress. She will be spayed, we think, in July when she goes for an annual physical. I asked Dr Briles why he was waiting so long, but he said due to her condition when we found her he wants to wait until he thinks she is strong enough. We know that means she will go into heat before then but she will not be around any males, of that Mommy and Sandra will be sure of.

Shelby taking all of Mommy's sugars.

Shelby giving Mommy the raspberry.

Shelby loves it when Mommy rubs her sides.

Ms Sandra's Baby update:

Almost every day Mommy and Ms Sandra talk or e-mail each other. We have been very worried about her. With her permission here is the last e-mail Mommy got from her....it was sent to Mommy Thursday morning.

Hi Sarah
I am okay , I went to the doctors appointment yesterday and they confirmed I have diabetes so I now have to prick my finger two hours after every meal to make sure that its not too high. Next Wednesday when I go back I have to give him the numbers of every reading for the past week and he’ll determine whether to put me on pills or insulin. He already said that he was going to have to induce my labor two weeks before the due date because the baby was growing rapidly due to the diabetes. If I even make it that far. He said there is a chance I go into labor before that date anyways so we’ll just have to wait and see how it goes. I have to watch what I eat and walk a lot he said . I must really get to walking because he says that will help me a lot . for the past week I have literally slept maybe two hours per night because I'm so uncomfortable the baby is just way too big so nothing works not even the recliner. When he showed us the ultrasound yesterday he showed us why I'm having such discomforts . he showed how the baby has almost no room to move so that’s why he is always poking me and kicking me and what not. But I guess I just have to walk everyday and tough it out for the next month or so.

One thing Mommy is happy about is that Ms Sandra will be having the baby at
SJMC where Mommy works.

This picture of Ms Sandra was taken Thursday night. She looks so very uncomfortable. Mommy always tries to see the other pitties and the wee ones as often as she can but this time I asked her to take some special pictures of my Tiger for me.

I got a package of balls and a stuffie from Santa Paws but I don't care for balls much, Yes, I know I'm strange! So Mommy said I could give them to my Tiger.

Here is a picture of my Tiger with a very pregnant Ms Sandra. It's gonna be a boy
and he is due March 31st.

They put the balls, a barbell and a rope toy in Tiger and Lucky's toy basket......

and Tiger had to problem checking the new toys out........

"Got one. Do I smell Mona on this one?

It is almost impossible to get a good picture of Tiger and Lucky. They are so fast. Here they are getting into it on the couch. "I wish that was me and not Lucky!"

Now let me show you some pictures of me. Mommy came home Thursday with
my Tiger's smell all over her. She also had the stuffie that was in the package
Santa Paws gave me. Now I ask you...."Christmas was almost a month ago, how come I'm just getting it now."

Waiting..........

Got it!!

"Yep it was worth waiting for. Mommy can Snowy come to bed with us tonight!"

Had enough yet? Need a laugh? This is too cute.

One day an old German shepherd starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he's lost.
Wandering about, he notices a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.
The old German shepherd thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm really in deep now!"Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat.
Just as the panther is about to leap, the old German shepherd exclaims loudly,"Boy that was one delicious panther! I wonder if there are any more around here.
"Hearing this, the young panther halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees."Whew!" says the panther, "That was close! That old German Shepherd nearly had me!"
Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes. The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the panther.
The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here squirrel! Hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!"
Now, the old German shepherd sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?"but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old German shepherd says...
"Where's that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!"
Moral of this story...Don't mess with the old dogs... Age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery! BS and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Gotta go now......{{huggies}}....Mona

So much news you have to report. We are sorry that Ms. Sandra is having such a hard time, but it sounds like she is getting very good care from her doctor. We hope and pray all goes well for her in the coming weeks. If she wants to come here, we will give her plenty of opportunities to walk.

Hurray for the news on Baron.

We have lots of snow photos - help yourself:)

Sorry to hear of the troubles that Sandra is having. Diabetes is nothing to mess with. We will be praying that she will have a safe delivery.

Mona you sure are looking cute! Did you have nice weather yesterday? We spent the afternoon outside enjoying the warmer weather. It is such a change to go from 20 to 60 degrees in a day basically :)

Sarah we hope you are doing well and that your knee is ok.
