HOW TO HUG A BABY AND HOW NOT TO BUY A PIE

IT'S ALMOST TURKEY DAY!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Not what we say about our blessings,
but how we use them, is the true measure of our Thanksgiving.

Hi my friends,

Mommy says she will never understand blogger. Loading pictures is working again, so she said she better hurry and post the pictures of what we was gonna post yesterday, so here goes.

My Uncle Neil has a friend that has two mastiffs puppies, and he saw this and sent it to him and he sent it to my my Mommy.
You don't think this is our Mango, do you?

 HOW TO HUG A BABY:

                              1. First, uh.....find a baby

 2. Second, make sure that the object found really is a baby using classical techniques of smell.

3. Third, need to accommodate the baby before you begin the process of the "Embrace".

4. Fourth, simply fit your paws around baby and prepare for a possible close-up.

5. Finally, if there is a flashy beast present, you need to run the difficult and patented.

"Hug, Smile, and Pose"  to achieve the best shot.

Tomorrow, Mommy is going to my real Aunt Pam and Uncle Sonny's for Thanksgiving dinner. It's gonna be a small affair, with just my human nephew Jason, his wife Anne, their 2 boys and my real Aunt Rosemary.
BUT, I'm not invited. What kind of Spirit of Thanksgiving is that, if Mommy's precious little girl can't go.

"It's OK, Mommy, just so you bring me back some of that nommy turkey!!"

It's really OK, cause Mommy bought me my own vanilla turkey cake but she says I can't have it until tomorrow.

So, Mommy wants to tell you how not to buy special pies for Thanksgiving.

Mommy here....

There are 2 places in Houston that are famous for their pies, if your willing to stand in line for hours on end at Thanksgiving time and you know old Arthur-ri-tus won't let me do that.

The best place to buy chocolate pie is this place....

But there is only on location in Houston. So I called them last night after work and they said to come on over, that it wouldn't be busy until today.

Ha!!

When I got there, the line was all around the block so no chocolate pie for Sonny or Pam.

So I said fine, since I would be home today, I'd go to the other place, there are 2 in Houston, this morning since everybody would still be at work.

This is the place that has the best custard and pumpkin pies in Houston, plus my favorite, Coconut Custard pie.

Ha!!

But when I got there, the line was out of the parking lot and down the street. So much for special Thanksgiving pies.
All I had to do was provide the pies for tomorrow and I couldn't even do that. Pitiful, just Pitiful!! So I just went to the Super Kroger's and bought a chocolate pie and a cream cheese pumpkin log. Think they'll notice?

Moral of story.....don't wait so long!!

Shelby update:

Yesterday, Sandra reported on how Shelby did Monday night. Mommy sent an e-mail to where Sandra works this morning and got this e-mail back.

Hi there,
Shelby did great last night slept soundly throughout.
She is such a brave and tough girl but we already knew that.
Not much excitement from her still so she might still be sore and what not.

She wags her tail a mile a minute when she plays with her stuffies so we know she is okay.
We hope you guys have a great thanksgiving and give Mona sugars from all of us at our house.
We hope you feel better too its no fun to be sick on the turkey day out of all days
Tiger of course sends his wiggles and wags to Mona and of course tons of zoomies ha ha

Pretty fantastic news, don't ya think!!

Hi Mona! I watched that video that you linked in your last post and the pup acted just like me, the way he moved and played. Do you act like him?
