Hi my dear friends,

Yesterday, Mommy left me at home when she went to My Aunt Pam's for Thanksgiving dinner.
I wasn't invited!. Now I love my Mommy's family but they just aren't dog people like us.
Uncle Sonny loves me and wanted me to come but Aunt Pam doesn't allow dogs in the house, so Uncle Sonny has to come to my house when he wants to see me. Mommy promised me she'd bring me some turkey home and she did and it was Yummilicious!!

Here are some pictures of the family. You will notice that everybody had feathers on. That was Aunt Pam's idea, She always comes up with crazy stuff to do.

Everybody but Mommy. The lady on the right in red is my Aunt Rosemary, Mommy's sister.

Uncle Sonny and Aunt Pam with their son, Jason, Mommy's Godson.

Jason and his family. Anne, Blake, 3 years old,  and Lane, 6 years old.

Blake playing with his truck hauler.

Lane watching a movie. It was Kung Fu Panda and Mommy said it was very funny. She said she had more fun watching the kids watching the movie and their Daddy, Jason, was laughing just as hard as they were.

Mommy bought these flowers for Aunt Pam.

Now, I know the Spirit of Thanksgiving is being with family but I was more interested in the FOOD and
what Mommy would bring me home.

Mommy's plate with a little bit of everything.....deviled eggs, yams with pecans and  brown sugar butter,
Italian sausage dressing with gravy, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, black olives, stuffed celery sticks, homemade rolls, cranberry sauce and the turkey booty. Yes that's right Mommy eats the turkey butt and the back. She don't like turkey.....the woman just ain't right.

You'd think she'd have tea or a beer or something good to drink, but all she had was water.....told you the woman is just not right. Sadie is Mommy's nickname. Lane helped his Nanny, Aunt Pam, to make everybody a cup.

The main course was Smoked turkey. Jason smoked it himself and Uncle Sonny made sure he took some out just for me and hide it from Aunt Pam. She doesn't thing us doggies should eat people food.

Yesterday we had the A/C on but today we had to turn the heater on. That's the kind of weather we have to deal with here in Texas. It rained most of the night and all this morning and was very cold. Too cold for us to go anywhere or to go outside, so I napped most of the day while Mommy worked on getting the Raffle ticket lists ready to send to JD and Max's Mom. OMD!! So far we have collected $246.00 towards Shelby's heart worm treatments and the raffle isn't over yet. If you'd still like to buy tickets click on Shelby's auction page logo on my side bar to view the prizes and buy your tickets. Please indicate who you are buying the tickets far. Lot's of us are buying tickets for our fur friends, isn' that neat? The tickets are $2.00 each.
Thanksgiving is truly for giving and you all have really proved that.

Today........

hasn't been such a bad day after all, even though it's been raining & cold most of the day. Besides taking naps alone while Mommy was working on the Raffle ticket lists I got to do some other stuff today. Remember Mommy's Halloween pumpkin, she had on her desk at work. Well she brought it home and let me have it.

I checked it out really good and when I figured out it wasn't a real kitty, I played with it.
Sorry to say it doesn't look like this anymore. RIP poor pumpkin kitty cat.

Then Mommy let me have my very own Thanksgiving turkey cake.

It was Yummylicious BUT she took all the icing off, cause she said it had chocolate on it and the rest was too sweet for me.

"Hey, wait a minute. I'm not through with that yet!!"
..
Mean old Mommy wouldn't let me eat it all, she said I gotta wait until tomorrow to have some more for the weekend.

Finally, it stopped raining and Mommy let me go outside. Guess what? I saw a cat walking across the back fence. I ran outside barking my head off and all he did was sit on the fence for an hour mocking me.....

and then he just walked back the other way. I was so tired of barking at it, so just went inside to take another nap but this time with Mommy so I was happy.

Tomorrow, Mommy is going to visit Shelby and will be taking some new pictures and posting them. She also spoke to Bill with  Bully Rehabilitation where Megan, Petey and Barron are staying and he said they are growing like weeds and posted some new pictures on their website,so she's gonna copy some of those to post too.

Gotta go.......{{{huggies}}}..........Mona

Why wouldn't people want dogs in their homes?? We clean up their leftovers, and they never need to do the dishes!

I hate it when cats mock me too! Grr.

Tsk Tsk to Aunt Pam on thinking you a doggy...you are internet blogging star Ms. Mona...what's up with her? Anywho? Love that your Uncle snuck foodables for you and that your mama had a good time with the family. We don't do family meals anymore...just not that close with anyone...we just had the immediate family here at home and that was it. Food was good, though. Wesa was so glad to see that you got to devour a whole cake...over a few days...but still a whole cake!!! We can't wait until your next postey as we love seeing pictures of Shelby and her pups growing.
Much luvums,

Wow. You got some nice goodies. You know what? We had a little, but we have to wait for tomorrow. My people went out for dinner on Thanksgiving, too and just brought home an eensy dinner plate of food for us, BUT my human brother got a smaller turkey at work and Blog Mom is making a dinner here tomorrow. She says she likes to have some Thanksgiving leftovers in the house even if she's not cooking the dinner. And guess what else? We're the only ones who eat the dark meat. Yummmers.

Oh, and yes, cats love to make fun. It's what they do.

lotsa licks, Lola

Your turkey cupcake was so pretty, Mona! The cake part is better than the icing anyway!
Our mom is boring and drinks only water with most stuff too!
