DROH DOGGIES AT PAWS IN THE PARK & ANGEL SAMANTHA HAS SOMETHING TO SAY

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"There's just something about dogs that makes you feel good. You come home, they're trilled to see you. They're good for the ego."
--- Janet Schnellman

R.I.P. sweet LEXIE

Angel Samantha here.....

My Mommy was very sad because she found out yesterday that sweet little Lexie left for the bridge. She fought hard but her little body just could not overcome all her problems. She is no longer in pain and is running free with that little imp Jody and a very special little boy. Everybody knows that all dogs need a little boy, so I decided that the perfect boy for Lexie is baby Lucas, Huskee and Hershey's angel brother. Now Lucas has a boy and a girl doggie to play with. I needed help handling the little imp, so when Lucas got here, I asked Jesus to let him stay with me and help me keep Jody entertained. But he needs help and maybe Lexie can teach Jody some manners. I know Mommy was so happy to know that all three of them are now a team!!

Some wonderful news came today that made Mommy happy. I keep trying to tell her not to give up hope....there is always good news just around the corner but sometimes you just gotta be patient, pray and wait for it to come to you. Remember Tootsie? She's the previous little 4 month old girl that was at the envelope stuffing party. Well she got adopted. Everybody at Paws in the Park got to meet her Daddy and he's got a fiance, so soon she'll have a Mommy too!! He came for a meet & greet and that was it. But there's more. He is interested in adopting Diego, a little black long hair, so everybody keep your fingers crossed.

But there is still more. The picture below is of Ned, an older long hair that was surrendered over to DROH. His owner that had him since he was a pup, had to go to a nursing home and asked a friend to find him a good home. She tried but didn't have any luck so she kept him but he developed some health issues and she thought DROH would be able to help him better than she could. Well she decided that she missed him so much and asked to get him back. She said she didn't know she would miss him as much as she did and she agreed to pay back what we had spent on him. Judy had a feeling she would want him back because she cried when Judy picked him up. So now he is back where he was happy (he had gotten very depressed and had stopped eating) and DROH can spend the money trying to save some more precious dachshunds.

Well, I've got to go now. My job up here never stops. This morning Amber had her pups but three little girls didn't make it. She had 4 healthy boys and 3 healthy girls. I told Mommy to tell Amber that I will keep an eye on them for her. I always wanted to have pups and now I have 3.

Mona here........

Hi dear friends,

Boy can Angel Samantha talk! I wonder if Mommy taught her or she taught Mommy how to rattle on. So back to Paws in the Park. Tonight's installment is all about dachshunds.....me and all my friends, the ones that belong to us and the fosters we took with us. So since it's late I'm just gonna introduce you to everybody and then show you a few other pictures. Tomorrow I'm gonna show you some silly pictures of me and Elliott.

MYLIE & KYLIE (fosters)

BANDIT (Aunt Judy's boy)

ELLIOTT (Brinda's boy)

OMD we are so happy that Ned is back at home that we are in tears!!!

We are very sad to hear about Lexi. At least we know she is in very good company at the bridge.

Mom has been crazy with work and has had no energy to blog much. We are going to kick her into shape again. We will check out you event pictures tomorrow. We are still sad that we didn't get to go.

Lots of Luv & Kisses
