"If a dog will not come to you when after having looked at you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience." -- Woodrow Wilson

Hi friends,
Have you had enough pictures of Paws in the Park? Mommy doesn't know when to quit when it comes to doggie pictures. So this set of pictures will be it until the next event. The next event is The Deer Park Pet Fair on Saturday April 18th. Of course DROH will be participating.
Today my Mommy stayed home with me and we slept most of the day. She didn't sleep good last night and woke up this morning with the long thin dirties and throwing up. Mommy never misses work so doe her to stay home, you know must have been sick. She said she handle one but not both. So this post will be pretty quick.
There were two things that happened that everybody though was hilarious. The fact is I don't like to drink after doggies I don't know. So Aunt Judy was drinking some water and I begged her to give me some. Everybody thought it was so funny. I don't know why. Doesn't every doggie drink out of a bottle? Notice the concentration required.

The key is to get you tongue deep in the neck to get the last drop. Ah, so refreshing.

Then Elliott started acting very strange, almost vicious. It was so unlike him. But then his Mom, Brinda figured it out. Elliott is a food hound like every other Dachshund in the world and
Normam tried to get up on the cooler that had pinwheel sandwiches on it. Needless to say Norman took off when Elliott jumped out of his Mom's arms onto the cooler. Of course he didn't get any but at least no other doggie did either.

The weather was terrible but we did have a good time. All the volunteers said they would go to the Deer Park Pet Fair but if was as cold as last Saturday, they are going on strike.

Now for the bottom line.........
We sold $148.00 in harnesses, leaches and belly bands. My Aunt Judy makes all of them and all the money goes to DROH, she even boys the material herself.

We also made $48.00 in donations that folks put in a glass jar but it got knocked off the table and some of it might have flown away.

Several of you have asked how much money I made with the kissing. Nothing!! It was too windy and the booth kept falling down, with me in it, so we took it down because it was too dangerous.
I did make $10.00 before the event even started. Crystal's handsome boyfriend and my good Texan friend, Mango, sent me $10.00 for 10 kisses, so all was not lost.

Tomorrow Mommy will start working on our March 2009 adoptions. It was a good month.
Love, kisses & {{{huggies}}} to all...........Mona
