MY VISIT WITH THE BOYS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Oh yeah, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouths, and when they bark they shoot bees at you." -- Homer Simpson

Hi my dear friends,
After my horrible experience at the VET....I don't care what the Mommy says....it was a horrible experience....I had a wonderful day. But the Mommy was a little sad. We took some Italian sausage to some friends of the Mommy's at 10 am....actually the boss who hired her 41 years ago. Annie is 86 years old & has been retired for over 20 years now but they have stayed in touch all these years. Her husband Paul is 88 years old. Annie broke her hip 3 years ago and just has never been the same. Annie and Paul always wanted a daughter but all they ever had was boys, so the Mommy was the daughter they never had. Every Thanksgiving for the last 41 years, they have gotten homemade Italian sausage from the Mommy's family for the holidays and this year was no exception. Paul volunteers at the Food Pantry at Queen of Peace Catholic Church and wasn't gonna be home so he told her to leave the sausage on the porch. The Mommy thought that was kinda strange, since Annie would be home but Paul said, she doesn't get up until after 3pm almost every day now. She doesn't leave the house anymore or do much of anything. This made the Mommy very sad because she was the most feisty, tiny, Italian woman when the Mommy first met her and has loved her as a second Mama, especially after her own Mama died 22 years ago. Paul said maybe if the Mommy knocked on the door real hard she would come to the door. She didn't and the Mommy cried when we got back into the car. I told her not to cry!! but she did anyway.

If you have noticed we have 2 planters in our back yard. Well, this is not one of them. Ours are rotted out and falling apart. This is in Annie and Paul's yard. Paul made it and made ours for the Mommy a long time a ago. Just thought you might like to see something not falling apart!!

Then we went to visit with Aunt Pam and Uncle Sonny since baby Blake and Lane were gonna be there. The Mommy says there is nothing like little mischievous boys to cheer you up.

LANE

Lane wasn't being very nice to me. I was sad!! He said he was scared of me, but baby Blake made up for it. I was sitting with the Mommy on one of the recliners and he kept coming over and petting me and then laying his cheek against my face and hugging me. What a sweet little boy!! I wish the Mommy has gotten a picture of that but our camera ran out of memory...maybe I'll get one at Christmas.

BLAKE

This is the my Aunt Pam, the Mommy's sister, with the boy. See the little Italian Chef between the boys? It was Lane's favorite toy when he was little and now it is Blake's favorite too. Both boys know that they must not tear him apart. Maybe at Christmas we can get a video of it too. It sings and shakes it's head and the words go like this:

"when the moon hits the sky, lika biga Pizza pie.......that's AMORE"

And this is my favorite man in the whole entire world. MY UNCLE SONNY!!!
He comes and cleans my house and plays with me and shares his lunch with me.

After that we was supposed to go home but Tina & Chris called and wanted to know if the Mommy wanted to go to YAYA MARY's for dinner. If you know anything about my Mommy you know that she loooooooves YaYa Mary's cause they gots Lamb and I told her she could go because I always get the bones & since it's a shank....that's a lotta bone. So off we went to Porter. I miss my buddy Jody not being there but I'm not gonna ignore Mr Grins, Gordo or Baby Girl, just because he's at the bridge now. They are my friends too!!

ANNOUCEMENT:

The Mommy and I had so such fun gathering up flower pictures from my friends that we have decided we want to have pictures of my friends in snow. Khyra did a post about the new snow she got and I am soooooo jealous. We don't get snow much in my part of Texas and I've never even seen snow before. I'm not gonna beg, like I usually do, but if you'd like to send me a snow picture I would be tickled to death. The Mommy said she wants to do the post around Christmas.

This snow picture is of Ruby, the dachshund. I just wanted to jump in there and bury myself in the snow with her. Actually Ruby is the one who gave the Mommy the idea for a snow post. Ruby said she didn't have any flower pictures but lots of snow. So that little post will be dedicated to her.....of course she needs to send another snow picture so everybody can see her pretty face better,

Well me and the Mommy are long winded, as usual , so the Mommy said we better call it quits for today. She's gonna make some pasta with crumbled up sausage and RAGU for her dinner and I'm gonna go gnaw on my lamb shank. Later!!

Love, kisses & huggies to all...........Mona & the Moomy too!!

PS......here is a little short video of the boys. Lane said Grandpa wasn't going fast enough.

The two boys are so cute! And so is Ruby in the snow!

Guess we wouldn't be sending you any pictures in snow since we don't have any around here. Sigh...
