EVANDER, JODY & JACKS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Any society which does not insist upon respect for all life must necessarily decay." -- Albert Einstein

Hi my dear friends,

There will be a delay in posting about the Henry Peyton Cemetery, the way I promised, until tomorrow. So much exciting stuff happened today that I've just got to show you all the pictures. Me and the Mommy went visiting this afternoon to see Evander & his new family but I thought that's all we was gonna do but since Evander lives in Atascasita & Jody lives just done the road in Porter, the Mommy decided we'd go see Jody too!!

Me and the Mommy have become quite the travelers but we are still going by automobile which as all of you know I hate riding in cars!! The Mommy has always wanted a horsie but not just any old horsie. She wants one of these.

AN APPALOOSA

There is something strange about the Mommy. She hardly ever watches television but she loves westerns and when a western comes on she is gonna watch it, even if she has seen it a hundred times. There is a movie called The Appaloosa with Marlon Brando & John Saxon that the Mommy liked so much she bought it. We gots lots of videos & they are mostly all about animals or they are westerns.

I don't need a big horsie. I just want a little pony like one of these miniature ponies. But the Mommy said where would we park our horsies? Betcha it would be cheaper to feed a horsie than buy gasoline!! Oh well, nix the horsies.

OK, so this afternoon, we went to see Evander & his new family. They are so nice. Evander's daddy Micheal & his Mommy's name is Danelle. They are the nicest & friendliest people and Danelle's mother and grandmother came just so they could meet me & of course the Mommy too, but mainly me.

This is Evander, his Mommy, his brother Fritzie and his Daddy. He also has a human 14 year old brother, Wesley, but he wasn't there.

This is the same folks but you see who is sitting on Michael's lap. ME!!

We wanted to take a lot more pictures but our camera ran out of battery....I keep telling the Doofuss to bring extras but she never listens to me!! We visited for more than 2 whole hours and then we left for Jody's house. The best part of our visit was that Evander remembered the Mommy and that made her sooooo happy. The second best thing was that I got to play with both doggies while them humans was talking. The third best thing was that Danelle's mother is gonna fill out an application to adopt a dachshund from DROH too. Now that I think of it...that was the best thing about our visit!! Another rescued doggie adopted!! Yahoo!! Yippie!!

OK, so then we went to Jody's house. Chris said she was afraid that I wouldn't want to come in because I got dumped there for 3 whole days while the Mommy was gambling but I sure showed them. I trotted right in and ran out the back door to look for Jody.

Here, me and Jody was siting in the Mommy's wide lap panting after we played outside awhile.

Then, Jody started kissing me. I hope my darling Simba knows it was just a friendly brother/sister kiss and nothing serious.

Then when we got home, there was this picture of Shelley walking some of her dogs in front of her house in Indiana on our e-mail. The cute little black & tan doggie in the front is my brother Jacks. Ya gotto blow the picture up to see how handsome Jacks still is.

Well it is late so me and the Mommy as heading off to bed now. She gotta go to work early in the morning....still on overtime, so see you tomorrow....with our cemetery post.
Love, kisses & (((huggies))) to all....Mona

It's always good to have rescued dogs adopted, and it takes a lot of hard work and efforts from the rescuer/rehomer.

Your mommy must have been a really nice and sweet person to care for these dogs before they are being adopted.

We are really happy that you have such a nice mom. You should be proud of her. =)

Sweet Licks,
Sugar

My mom went to bed super early last night...around 8:30!

She hates Mondays and always says something is bound to happen on a Monday morning so she likes to wake up extra early to deal with it!! :)

Yesterday mom promised us she was gonna take us to the beach when it gets cooler. You wanna come with us?
Love,
Macky

Mom and dad thought of buying an Appaloosa horse when they were younger! Thank goodness it never came true! They are gorgeous animals!

What a great day for sure! I love visiting and I don't mind riding in a car, but riding a horse would be GREAT fun!

You have so many cute little doggy friends.

Hi Mona,
Sorry I have not been around....my mom has been so busy. I sure do like the appaloosa and the mini horses. I think a mini horse would be just the right size for both you and I!
