MY TRIP PART 4 (SUNDAY) & TIPPY'S VISIT

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I give my dog one thousand kisses every day."
--- WBH

Hi my dear friends,

Well we have almost come the end of my trip to the country in pictures, other than the cemetery post we will do tomorrow, but we wanted to share a few more pictures of my friends and where they live. As most of you know Mary and Dachsie's Rule moved early this year outside of Bryan, Texas where both Mary and her sister, Becky, are building houses on land that has been in the Henry Peyton family for more than 170 years.

These next two pictures are where the houses will be built. Mary & Becky each have 10 acres of land apiece. The houses will be surrounded my one humongous fence that will incircle both houses so the dachsie's can run free along with their doggie cousins Maggie & Jake.

Remember the cheeky little squirrel I showed you guys in our last post? Remember he was chowing down on a pecan? Well this is a pictures of some of the pecans on the tree he came out of and the actual tree. It sits right across from the deck and there are pecans always falling on the porch. Have ya ever tried to bit a pecan? It ain't gonna happen but them squirrels have some strong teeth.

This is a picture of a flower called a Maggie's tail. Well it's really not called that but Mary took a picture once on The Dashsie's Rule blog of Becky dog Maggie in the flower bush where all you could see was her tail....it's posted somewhere on their blog since they moved to the country. The Mommy's question to the Mommies out in DWB land know what it is called? Until we find out, it's just gonna be called Maggie's tail.

As I have said before the property has been in the Henry Peyton family for over 170 years and while the Mommy & Mary was walking & driving around the land, Mary pointed out where the old homestead used to be. Here are two pictures of what is left of the original barn---pretty nice wood to be over 170 years old.

Here are some final pictures of my friends.
SAMMY WANTING TO BE PICKED UP.

ROXIE KEEPING GUARD ON THE DECK

ANDY WITH MR. HORSIE (I GAVE IT TO HIM)

This picture is of my friends trying to sniff out whatever was under the deck. It could have been a mouse or some other kind of critter. I stood guard on the picnic table while they stayed in that one spot for over an hour trying to get to whatever was under there. Roxie even tried to bite some of the flooring off......It was soooooo funny cause they was growling and pawing the flooring something fierce.

This last picture, I posted on day 1 of my trip. This picture is priceless or so the Mommy says, so ot is worth repeating. It's just 4 friends hanging out together.....my bestest friends of course.

Now back to today. The Mommy's cousin Shirley, her granddaughter, Kayleigh, and her little dog Tippy came today to visit. Me and Tippy stayed home while they went shopping & since Shirley made Tippy stay in her cage, I just decided to take a nap on my usual chair until they came back. After lunch, me & Tippy played with Kayleigh a bunch & the Mommy took some short videos of us. ENJOY!!!

We are quite talented, aren't we!!!!
Gotta go now. Love, Kisses and (((huggies))) to all.....Mona
