ME AND MY KITTY CAT FRIENDS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"One of the best feelings in the world is coming home to a puppy or a kitten"

Hi my dear friends,

The Mommy finally got home from the hospital and the news isn't good. I want to go see my Aunt Annie but they said I couldn't because I am only a dog. Does it matter that I am a dog? When Uncle Bennie was dying, the Mommy sunk Samantha in, so why can't she sneak me in? Aunt Annie took care of me when I first came to the Mommy because the Mommy had to work all the time. I love my Aunt Annie so much, that it hard to think of her suffering and hard for the Mommy to watch.

I try so hard to perk the Mommy up and I'm not having much luck. It's hard for her to smile but I keep reminding the Mommy what are blog slogan say "Smile, it's good for you". I know I look like I'm gonna cry in this picture but I can't help it. You should see the Mommy.

So tonight, since the Mommy doesn't know what to say, we are gonna let you know "WHAT YOUR CAT IS TRYING TO TELL YOU" since I already know what us doggies are trying to say, these things that kitty cats do I sure didn't know. I never knew I liked cats until me, Hana, Copper and Jelly Bean went on our great adventure. So JB and her sisters are gonna be my models. I love JB and if the Mommy ever lets me have a kitty, I want one just like Jelly Bean!!

#1. He uses his forehead to tell you....
"I love you" When your cat butts his head or leg, he's rubbing his scent on you. "This is your cats way of expressing his deep affection for you."
Jelly Bean -- My first kitty cat friend

#2. If she presents her tail end....
It's a sign of respect. When cats turn around to show their rear, they're telling other cats that they respect them and consider them to be in charge. When your cat suddenly turns around and wiggles her tail at you, it means "You're that top honcho around here"
JB's sister Misty

#3. When he rubs you with his side....
He's saying "thank you" You may think he's trying to trip you as he weaves in & out of your legs as you walk. What he is really trying to do is rub the side of his body against your legs, which is way of showing appreciation.

JB's sister PooPoo

#4. Look to her tail....
To find her mood. Is her tail held high with little flocks at the tail? She's feeling happy and confident. Is her tail lashing back and forth? Watch out: "somethings ticking her off." Is her tail at "half-mast"--not straight up, but not straight down? She's feeling relaxed.

#5. Listen for this....
To know when he's lonely. Does your kitty meow frequently? Then he wants to talk to you. Does your cat make a deep, long meow whole you're trying to sleep? He's wondering where everybody went!
#6. Seeing her tummy is a sign that she totally trust you....
She totally trusts you. By exposing the most vulnerable part of her body, your cat is telling you she's completely comfortable with you.

#7. His purr reveals....
When he does - and doesn't want - to be petted. Ever wonder why your cat
suddenly swipes at you while your petting him? "Unlike dogs, cats get overstimulated from too much petting, which makes them aggressive".The sure sign he's had enough cuddling? He stops purring. Other signs to look for: If he turns and looks at you suddenly, his ears push back, his skin twitches or his tail lashes back and forth.

Who wouldn't love this face?

Now that I have learned all this stuff about cats, I have one question for the Mommy?
Mommy...can I get a kitty cat now.......Pretty Please!!!
Thanks to my models, my bestest kitty cat friend, Jelly Bean, and his sisters, Misty & PooPoo. I love you guys.......even though I did chance a solid white kitty out of my backyard this morning!!
Love to all.....Mona
Ps.......Misty, the Mommy is very sorry, but she accidently wiped one of your pictures off this post....she is such a Doofuss....do kitty cats have Doofuss Mommies too??

Your poor Mummy, sounds like she needs lots of licks. You look sad too, sending nose licks to you.

I am so sorry to hear your aunt is not getting better. More purrs coming your way.....
This is such a cute post. Thank you for using us as models! We do pretty much all the things that you list! I think you should keep asking the mommy for a kitty cat. Get a kitten and then you can still be the boss of the house, by being the big sister.

Pee Ess: A lot of people think I am a boy.....but I am a girl....did not know if you knew this? I am very small and only weigh 7 pounds....how much do you weigh? Are you bigger than me?

Hi Mona and Mommy,
So sorry to hear about Aunt Annie - I am crossing my paws and thinking good thoughts for her.
This was a very informative post - I didn't know much about kitties before. Jelly Bean is my friend too - she and her sisters are so beautiful!

We know our grandma has a cat but we never met her so we didn't know so much about 'kitty expression's. Thanks for sharing their cute pictures with us.
