This and That

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

Hi dear friends,

The Mommy is taking over again, because she saw something she has never seen before, this morning, on her way to work. I ask you "just whose blog is this anyway?". The one time she didn't take her camera to work, she saw this.....so here goes......I'll take over again in a minute.

The Mommy: This morning as I was stopped at the stop sign on our street waiting to turn, I saw a baby squirrel running across the street with 3 jaybirds, dive bombing after him. It was terrible. The poor little fella kept running, here & there, trying to get away from them. One would peck him, knock him down, then he would jump up and run some more and it would start all over again. It made me cry because he was just a baby. Thank God, he made it to a hedge, next to a house, and they didn't get him. I know that a lot of our dogs think that squirrels are evil but he was so tiny and each of the birds were 2 times his size. I have decided that I don't care if Mona ever chases a squirrel again, I will never allow her to catch one.

Mona: OK, I'm back. When the Mommy got home, she came in with this beautiful pink rose......the Mommy kills roses so it's not from our yard......that she said she begged a friend to give her that her husband had sent her. OK......fine be a DOOFUSS/GOOFUS ......beg somebody for a rose but at least put it in a nice vase.....not in a Diet Coke bottle.....Sheesh how tacky!!

I am showing you the rose in the coke bottle, just so you can see into the kitchen where I was forced to stay during the day until the Mommy decided I could be trusted in the house by myself. I have tried to tell her that it was my brudders that was doing all that peeing everywhere, but she wouldn't listen to me. See the open doggie gate. But, I am very proud of the Mommy because at least I know now she is drinking diet sodas at work.

Enough of that. See, this ball? It belongs to Brownie (Spike), my friend from next door, but it was in front of my fence.

Well the wind was blowing & the ball kept rolling down the driveway.

And rolling some more until it was almost in the street.

Neither me or Brownie was very happy about his ball rolling around, so this is what we was doing while the ball was rolling down the driveway but that stupid ball didn't listen to us. Anyway, I don't like balls so I really don't care, I was just being my nosy self. Thank goodness something else got my attention and off I went. The Mommy: I just love the way she stands with with one foot in the air and she is nosy -- look at that head looking around.
The first little video the Mommy took this morning. When the Mommy gets dressed in the morning, I have to help her but I can't jump as high as our bed, so the Mommy bought me a ramp. This morning she caught me in the act. You have to look real quick because I am quicker than her.....and it is hard for an old Doofuss to turn around quick enough....heheheh !!

Bye, bye....it's way past my dinner time......Mona & the Mommy too!!

Once Squirrels chased after my human in her furry Ugg boots. I think she probably felt like that baby squirrel...just bigger...
