BUTTERFLIES

Hi friends,

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"The poor dog, in life the firmest friend. The first to welcome, foremost to defend." -- Lord Byron

The Mommy took today off, so her could go to the bank & then the police department to followup on our identity theft problem, so she took me to get a bath "YUCK" at Pets mart then she went to the post office to mail a package via snail mail and then went to eat crayfish. Did she ask me if I wanted to go eat any "mud bugs". NO!! Did me want to go eat them nasty looking bugs? NO!! Me just don't understand this woman.....she tells me to stay away from bugs & then her eats them. This woman has a serious problem.

As the Mommy has told us, stay away from bees, wasps, ants, spiders or anything else that can bite. My ladybug, Catarina, does not bite---she is special cause her belly is always full of treats and she shares them with me. The Mommy said that butterflies are pretty and they don't bite. Me don't know about all that! Anyway on to the butterfly attack.

I was playing outside when I saw Spike staring at me from the yard next door. So I jumped up on my patio chair to have a chat.

Me in my chair & Spike behind the fence is as close as we ever get. I wanna play but a long time ago, when my brothers were still here, Spike jumped the fence & came at me and my brothers & the Mommy got scared. No doggie got hurt but my little brother, Jacks, got scratched & that was all it took. She says she isn't sure if Spike wants to play with me or eat me.

ME & SPIKE

So along came a whole bunch of beautiful butterflies. They were flying all around the backyard and since I had never seen one, I decided it would be a good thing to go check them out. WRONG!!! A pretty pink one fell on the ground and me, being the most compassionent doggie I know, went over to see if it was hurt & if I could help the poor lifeless thing.
That's when the attack took place. I was just walking by when they attacked me.
I am telling the truth....they attacked me. The proof is in the little video below. I am innocent of any wrong doing. I did not even try to eat it the one on the ground.
Well it did look a little tasty.

BTW...I got all prettied up for tomorrow's Pet Fair. I had my toenails clipped "I wouldn't want to scratch the boys" and my teeth brushed "I wouldn't want the boys to think I have bad breath" so I'm all ready to start my job at the kissing booth. What a chore that will be but some doggies got to do it.
Gotta go now and practice kissing on the Mommy. After all I do want to make a good impression tomorrow.
Love & Kisses......Mona
PS....the Mommy speaking...."it looks like I have a DIVA on my hands"!!!!

ok lets stick with bad breath and scratchy nails or I might get jealous. We had a huge bee in our kitchen yesterday, but I remembered your warnings and let my big human brother chase it out.
