We will never forget this day 11 years ago. Beautiful post!
I wasn't born when it happened but mommy was. She had a cold and remembers her sister waking her up saying something bad happened. When she went down stairs she saw her mommy watching the news and how the World Trade Center was burning. Mommy was only 8 years old or so and she didn't really understand completely what was going on. Her daddy was on a business trip and when his flight was cancelled he rented a car and drove home from New Orleans.

I wasn't born yet then, but Momma and my kitty brother remember it very well. Momma was in law school and found out when she was online before her first class started. As soon as she figured out what happened, she went straight home. Scribbles comforted her while she watched the news the rest of the day. :(
Mom was at School... waiting fur her furst class to arrive. She was STUNNED and SHOCKED and Worried and SO SAD.
I remember I worked at a call center at the time, and that day was sooooooooooo slow. Whenever anyone would call in, they'd always have the news on in the background, so we'd always ask if there were any updates.
My boys are signed up for a few classes tomorrow. They're really excited about them.
Remembered always...

Mommy said she worked at a large insurance claims office and when it happened none of the phones rang. That was shocking because those phones were always ringing. We must always remember!
