Mommy has been crying all night. Dear sweet Travis went over the Rainbow bridge yesterday. He did so well with his surgeries but then started having other problems. The decision was made to end his suffering.
Mommy said it's just like losing my Jody all over again. There is another angel at the bridge now looking down and thanking DROH and everybody that tried to help him. Mommy wants to thank all of you who helped with his surgery. He will always be in our hearts. Mommy likes to think that Jody and Travis, our 2 chocolate boys, are together now playing with Baby Lucas and Chloe. RIP little one.

Sorry we haven't posted since Sunday. Mommy bought us a new fantastic computer which she loves BUT Sunday evening we started having DSL Internet connection problems. We lose the connection during the day, at least it's down when she gets home at 5:30 pm, but it works when she gets up at 5 am. She got up at 3 am this morning to turn the heater up and came into the computer room and the DSL light was blinking red so who knows what time it comes back. AT&T is trying to figure out why this is happening and a tech will be here this coming Sunday. We have been reading a few blogs each morning but Mommy has to leave for work before 7 am, so that just isn't enough time to visit much.
It is soooo cold here! It is 22 degrees with a wind chill of 8 degrees this morning. That's like the North Pole in my part of Texas. The last time it was this cold in Houston was Christmas Eve, no snow, in 1980. That was 30 years ago and Mommy was still a Spring Chicken then not an old codger like now.
Gotta go now so Mommy can get ready for work and try to find a heavier coat. I guess I'll just go back to bed.
Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all...........Mona

Hi Mona and Mommy,
We are very sorry to hear about Travis. What a sweet looking dog.
There always comes a time when there is nothing left you can do but to let them go, but how hard it is to do.
Love,
Riley and Star.
Poor Travis is now beyond the trials that he was forced to endure. Many will welcome him across the Rainbow Bridge.
22 with wind chill of 8 is like the North Pole ... even AT the North Pole. Not something a dachshund should have to deal with. I'm just sayin'.
I'm so sorry to hear about Travis. He looked like a sweet boy. Being able to let go is the kindest thing you can do for your pups. You spared him a lot of suffering.
It sounds like Chicago weather there, minus the snow. Keep warm!

That is so sad. :(
Try and stay warm! The big girls like it outside for some reason and have spent a good part of today outside playing. Hailey on the other hand needs to have her coat on and would prefer to be inside :)
Mona, give your mom extra kisses from us!
Lots of Luv & Kisses
Addie, Lucie and Hailey
We are very sad to hear about poor Travis. We understand why your Mom feels so badly - it is always hard to lose one. Hope you can get those 'puter issues resolved so we can have more fun visiting with you.
Woos, Phantom and Thunder
Goodbye Travis. I'm planning to look you up someday, along with other beloveds. We've discussed it at our home and we all agree; being put to sleep is the way to go. I'm very sorry for your mother's grief though. That's a tough one.

Hi Mona (and mommy),
The tears are falling as we read the sad news about Travis. It takes a lot of love and even more courage to make the decision to end his suffering... sending you mommy big, comforting hugs..
We are sure Jody and Travis are now playing a game of 'catch us if you can' with Anegl Lucas and Chloe...
Sending you sunshine and warm huggies...
