“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.”

~~ Robert Frost

Today's memory was the very first one Mommy ever made. It was at Christmas 2010, when it was just me and the Mommy after we had to give up my brothers when Mommy got sick.

I was happy I was still with Mommy but...........

My wish was granted a few months later when Angel Weenie came into our lives. This was Mommy's second Smiley box she ever made.

My wish for this year is that Mommy gets better. Here foot was not broken but she pulled something behind her right knee and hobbles around a lot. So that's another doctor appointment she's gotta make.

To make matters worse, Mommy is very worried about me. I have been slowing down a lot lately, BUT I am over 11 years old after all. I've also been losing weight. Friday Mommy took me for my 6 month physical, since I have Cushings, I gotta go more often than most of us. In the mornings, I cough a lot and pant. Dr Briles says the panting is from the Cushings BUT now I have a heart murmur.
I gotta take heart medication now. Dr B. took bunches of blood work and I gotta have a test that takes all day long, where they give you special medicine to see how my Cushing's medicine is effecting my body. I've lost 2 1/2 pounds in a year, so now I have to start eating more. Prissy is jealous cause she says she's on short rations, so Mommy has to feed us separately. I keep telling Mommy, we'll just take each day at a time.

OK, enough about me. Have you heard about what
PAWS OF ENGLAND is doing? Check it out. We made a donation in Angel Weeenie's name and for our foster Shelby Lynn and can't wait to get our card.

Penny Lane announces her #GivingTuesday "Love is all you need" campaign
As you can see in this video, Penny Lane has been given a lot this year. She has been given life, love, and health. So Penny has been anxious to give back and help her friends that are still in the shelter. #GivingTuesday will be Penny's chance to turn her stardom into life-saving funds for dogs still in need.

Always one to love the cameras, Penny wanted to deliver her message personally in this video. We hope you will enjoy her award-winning performance and heed her call to action.

For $25, you can purchase one of Penny's holiday cards. Give the card as a gift or keep it for yourself. It is the perfect way for any dog lover to celebrate the holidays and bring awareness to shelter dogs in need. Penny's goal is to sell 500 cards before midnight on #GivingTuesday (Tuesday, December 2nd). The cards are available now by clicking this link. Follow PAWS New England on facebook this #GivingTuesday as we broadcast the number of cards sold every four hours starting at 8am. This is one of the most ambitious goals we have ever set, but Penny Lane has been taught to dream big. Help us reach this goal and remind the world that "Love is all you need."

Thank you and Happy #Giving Tuesday!

Mona.....we all have our paws crossed that your murmur won't give you any trouble at all. They've got some really good meds out now for that. Max sends you lots and lots of kisses.

Hopefully your Mommy's leg will only require some rest. Mona, you are so right....take it one day at a time and enjoy each day. You know Twix is still doing this with you from heaven. She will always be by your side. Momma and I will be keeping you and your Mommy in our prayers. Thanks for the memories with the SmileBoxes.
