PRISSY'S BACK HOME, THE ANSWER and YOUR DAILY DOSE OF PAX

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“Dare to Be ...

When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.

When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.

When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.

Dare to be the best you can –

At all times, Dare to be!”

Prissy

Dearest friends,

My girl is back home thanks to all your love and prayers.
The POTP is strong.  When she wouldn't eat and kept
vomiting all night Sunday, I knew she was in trouble.

Based on the first set of X-rays, when Dr Briles found a mass
pressed up against her liver and pancreas and her spleen
not where it should be, I was terror stricken. He thought it could be cancer. Visions of when Mona had her cancer and when Weenie suffered from pancreases problems flashed
across my mind.

The mass started dissolving on it's own and when Dr Briles
took the second set of  X-rays Tuesday morning it had shrunk quite a bit & was totally gone by Wednesday evening.
He kept her until Thursday night, off the IVs', to see if she would start vomiting again.

He now thinks all the vomiting was due from "poop"  or
an infection. She was on IV fluids for 4 days, non stop, and whatever it was got flushed away.
She is on 2 medications, one for vomiting and one antibiotic.
If she starts vomiting again, she needs to goback again
and have a barium x-ray which he was planning on doing
but cancelled when the mass started getting smaller.
he last set of X-rays showed nothing.
The above picture was taken on our way home.
She stood in that same spot all the way home.

I can't express enough how thankful I am that we belong
to a community as loving and caring as DWB.

I made a Smilebox of the pictures and videos I took
when Prissy got home. Mona was so excited to have her sister
back home. She moped around for 2 days looking for her and I thought about how much she missed Weenie until Prissy came into our lives. I was so thankful that our house guest, Clyde, was
here to keep her company.
You be the judge. Does Prissy look like there was
anything wrong?

Prissy here.......

In all the excitement and anguish of me being sick,
Mommy almost forgot our question to raise green papers
for our pal Benny to fight the evil big C.
The question was.......

"Some of the dogs in June's adoption pictures
have 2 things in common. What are they?"

Nobody guessed correctly, not even close,
but there were some interesting guesses.

Here are a few of the more interesting ones.

Just HOW is Mommy supposed to guess when she's crying so hard after reading
that AMAZING and very TOUCHING poem! We say YEAH to all the pupper's
who found their new forever homes! We love that there were so many again.

OK, we gotta take a guess on the Benny observation quiz.

Lily & Muffin's Top 10 List:

1. The pic's were all taken at the same location.
2. They are all really cute!
3. Mommy wants to take them all home.
4. Many are wearing blue colored collars.
5. They were adopted in the month of June.
6. They were adopted in the year 2013. (OK, that's really stretching it!)
 7. 50% were long haired.
8. 50% were short haired.
9. They were all rescued.
10. They all have beautiful faces.

OK, we give up!! We just had to have some fun....

Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
Charlie Girl, Daisy, and Prissy all look like ERNIE!!!

Congratulations on 17 adoptions.

Since nobody got the answer, Mommy said we can donate
the green papers from Mona, since she bet the big C just like
our pal Benny will.

The answer is:

3 puppies all on the same blanket.
Actually there were 4 things.
They are siblings and all adopted
by the same family.

I'm so glad Miss Prissy is home and doing so well. Poor The Mommy, you have been through so much. I know Prissy is so glad to be back where she belongs. I love Prissy's tail. One of my sisters has a tail like that and my Mommy calls it a Palm Tree tail.

Love, Cupcake

Just watched your smilebox. Loved the video of Mona and Prissy playing in the back yard! You'd never even know Prissy had been sick from watching this. Power of the Paws is very strong, indeed!

So glad that Prissy is doing so much better.
