Mommy's girls here...........
Before Mommy tells you about what we did the other day, just let us say that it was all her fault. She should know better than to leave foodables around where we can get them. It wasn't the squirrels fault, we got caught "red pawed".
But first.....

Everyday, most dog owners marvel at the difference that a dog makes when he or she becomes part of a family. Trying to explain that difference to a non-dog owner can leave one at a loss for words ... that is, until now. I'm unsure exactly where this clip originated, but it certainly came from someone's heart and in two minutes worth of words and pictures captures exactly why a dog ... purebred, mutt or somewhere in between ... is considered "Man's Best Friend." And, it's all because God Made A Dog.
Now isn't what we did, what most dogs would do according to the video?
The Mommy here..........
Sunday I went grocery shopping and was exhausted by the time I got back. I unpacked the car and put all the stuff that needed to go into the refrigerator away and put anything I thought the girls might get into out of reach on the kitchen counters. The paper goods and canned goods got left on Mona's big overstuffed chair in front of the patio door. Then I took the cure (my trusty heating pad) and all three of us took a nap.
Monday evening after work, I let the girls out like usual and went to fix their dinner. Prissy came running, that girl never misses a meal, when I called them but Mona didn't. I kept calling her but she never came, she never misses a meal either, so I went looking and that's when I say what was left of these
and the package wrapper ripped apart. Mona was sitting in one of her beds with a tortilla hanging out of her mouth chewing away. There were originally 6 in the package but only one was left. Prissy had followed me into the living room and hopped unto Weenie's bed. I grabbed the one that was left and had to fight Mona for the one she was chewing on. She was not happy. I turned around and saw Prissy chewing on one and she really wasn't happy when I grabbed it away.
By my count Mona ate 4, Prissy ate about half of one and I got the other one away and threw it away.
Seems I had left 2 packages of tortillas in a bag with the paper items on the chair and Mona managed to get to them. You know they are being starved to hear them tell. I have learned my lesson,
1. Do not leave groceries laying around.
2. Put everything away before taking the cure.
I can't stay angry at my girls for long and they know it.
Us again........
.
Us girls are being dropped off at the groomer in the morning.
Wish us luck.
