Angel Weenie here........

11 years young
In Memory Of

  Weenie Ricca

DREAM extends its deepest sympathy to Sarah for the unexpected loss of her sweet boy, Weenie, who crossed Rainbow Bridge on Monday, May 27, 2013. Weenie was on a play date Sunday when he stumbled upon a hive of bees. After a night at the ER, he was unable to recover from all the stings. Recently, Weenie had struggled with chronic Pancreatitis. We think maybe God decided it was time to end his suffering.

Hi dearest friends,

Remember Mommy told you about a new dachshund rescue group in Houston? DREAM  at

 http://dreamdachs.org/about.php

Well Suzanne, one of the founders of Dream, sent Mommy this e-mail........

Sarah,

I am just heartbroken over the loss of your sweet little boy.
His passing inspired me to get the Memorial page (http://dreamdachs.org/inMemoryOf.php) up and running on the DREAM site. Please let me know if you’d like to add or change anything on his memorial.

Suzanne

Well Mommy is grieveing and is still in a state of shock and she doesn't know what to say, so I decided to come down from this wonderful place, The Rainbow Bridge for a quick visit. What Suzanne said is exactly what happened, God and I had a conversation and I told him I was ready to go. The Pancreatitis
was quickly going from acute to chronic and dear sweet Dr Briles said I would probably get Diabetes too. Being blind wasn't helping matters either. But how to go about it? BEES.

Me and my magic bumble bee.

It only makes sense, I loved my magic bumble bee and loved to take all the girls, and sometimes guys, flying. My fondest memory is of when me and my love, Amber, spent the whole day on my birthday this year flying all over Florida on it. It was the day I asked my love to marry me and she said YES. Leaving Mommy, Mona and my Amber behind was very hard but I didn't want Mommy to someday have to make the decision to put me down like she had to with Samantha. It was the hardest thing she ever did and I couldn't let that happen again.

 OMD.........

You won't believe this place. When I got here I wasn't blind anymore and was able to see all the beautiful colors of the Rainbow. Waiting at the bridge for me with their paws open wide was Mommy's girls Samantha, Nikki, Shelby and Fuzzy, and that little imp, Jody, was there too. Fuzzy, being the same age as the Mommy in human years, since they was born on the same day 65 years ago is in charge. She says she took care of Mommy and the wild and wooly Ricca girls and she would take care of all of us until Mommy can join use, but not for a long time. She still has my Sissy and lots of room for another dachsie in her life.

Before I go back, I have a message for my love, My Amber. You will always be in my heart, and I will be here waiting when your time comes but if you find someone else that can make you happy, I won't object.

My Sissy

And to my sister, Mona, I never had a sister before you and your were the best. I know you are lonely but there will another brother for you before long but remember me as I will remember you.

Mommy, thank you for the last 2 years. I never knew love until you decided to take me, a going blind worthless 9 year old, as they called me into your heart. Don't worry Mommy, I'll be OK. There were so many of our blogging friends waiting to welcome me in and I could see them with my own eyes. I will never forget you. I will always be your little fella.

Thank you, all my dear friends, for the kind words, postings and prayers for me and the support you have given Mommy. She has read all your comments and e-mails from your peeps and that has kept her going. Right now she is too sad to blog but she will be back, sooner or later.

I'll be checking in from time to time but for now that little imp wants to play chase and I bet I catch him cause I can see again.

Sniff ya later........Angel Weenie

We just saw the news about Weenie. Our hearts are bruised and bleeding. We were special needs 'throw away' doggies, too, so we always felt a special kinship with Weenie. We're sure Weenie is surrounded by loving friends over the Bridge, while he waits for the rest of his family to eventually join him. Hugs and slurps to Mona and Mommy.

We're so sorry about Weenie's passing. He was taken much too soon, and we all know the pain of losing our beloved pets. He's running free at the Bridge, and meeting so many friends who will show him the way. We can only look forward to the day when we're all reunited with our pets, and we can hug them once again.

Please take care of yourself,
