Mommy's in the dumps....

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts. Let's enjoy life and don't live a complicated one. Life is short. Smile."

Weenie, future husband of my Amber DaWeenie, here.....

I'm just now starting to recover from my best barkday of all times. "Hi my love!" But I'm not here to talk about my heart, I'm here to talk about our Mommy.

As most everybody knows, her had 2 major surgeries in October and has lost 45 pounds. Everybody has been telling her she looks good BUT her don't feel good. Her Diabetic doctor changed her insulin, she's on 2 kinds now, last month and her is having a hard time with it. Her sugars dropped down in the 40's and 50's during the night 3 times this week. It is very scary when that happens. Good thing is she knows when it happens cause she starts sweating and her hair gets damp. Shes  gotta drink orange right away but then  she's restless and it's hard to concentrate after that. So her been feeling very old lately and sorry for herself. The doctor says they need to come up with the right dosage for her to take at night so she's going to see the doctor Tuesday. All Mommy's life she's been told not to eat before she goes to bed and now they tell her she has to have a snack just before she takes her last shot of the day. That's why her sugars have dropped so low at night. She says it's hard for a fat person to make that adjustment after so many  years of being told otherwise. "She's very stubborn, that woman is.".

Please, light a candle for Mommy and pray she starts doing what shes supposed to.

OK.....you guys remember Mona's baby, Koya? Her Granny, Miss Kat, has been very upset about this whole diabetic problem and has been trying to perk the old girl up. So she sent the following old lady pictures to help cheer her up. They are kinda funny so we want to share them with your Mommys in case any of them are feeling old and useless too. "Course our Mommy is old as dirt." heheheheh

Gotta go now. It's bedtime and we gotta make sure Mommy eats her snack and then I can go dream about my Amber.

Sniff ya later...........Weenie

The dosage is a big key to all this. I know what I talk about. My MOM is a type 1 diabetic and she experiences the 30's and 40 lows more than she should. But being the dog I am for 13 years I have alerted her to her condition. Which is good because she does not always know what is happening until it is getting to late. MOM also takes two different insulin's as well. I by no means am telling you what to do, only your doctor can, but cutting back the dosage on the long lasting insulin (that's Lantus for my MOM) has helped. It takes time to get things just right. Your part in all this is to keep making your mom smile.
Blessings,
Goose

You tell your Momma she has to do what she's told and that's it! We think you should have a snack with her to keep her company...okay?

XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

SHE identifies with many of those 'jokes'.

Hey Weenie... WE are so glad that you and your beloved AMBER had such a super time celebrating your Big DAY..

Now you will just have to take matters into your own paws and FORCE your mom to have a snack before bed. Peeps are Difficult to manage... butt they ARE worth the time and effort. RIGHT?

Listen to Goose cuz he knows what he is talking about! Can you just have a might snack and offset it with a little walk earlier in the day? Our pawrents are very old, ancient even, so we have to make sure they get exercise.

Your Pals,

Murphy & Stanley

The Mommy,

Please, please, please eat your treat before bedtime. We get worried over here when you aren't feeling well. Thanks Weenie, for keeping us updated. Hope The Mommy feels better soon and they get her medicine all straightened out.

Love, Cupcake

Weenie, my love. I miss you so much. Butt right now you have to look after your Mommy and make sure she eats. Don't you be tempted to eat it for her either. I'll be checking.

My Mommy said she's going to say lots of extra prayers for your Mommy and I'm going to keep my teenie weenie paws crossed that all her medications will be just right real soon so she feels better.

Good night, my love!

We don't know much about sugar problems but we know that everyone on here cares about your momma so tell her we are sending the potp to her, and that she needs to eat her snack.
