Petey, tutus, Tag, and Mommy's Birthday

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
Helen Keller
“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.”
The Mommy here.......

Yesterday was a very busy day.  First the ATDR and DROH birthday group had our monthly birthday celebration at Red Lobster. Since I was the only birthday person this month, I got to choose the cake. It was strawberry with strawberry cream chesse icing and it was homemade by Susan. It was so pretty and so, so good. It was the first dessert I've had since my surgeries in October and I have to say I ate 2 pieces.

Then Brenda took this embarrassing video.

OK, enough said about my birthday.

Mona here.........

Weenie and I didn't get to go with Mommy to her birthday dinner. They said dogs weren't allowed in restaurants. Ya, that's what they always say and Mommy didn't bring us home any cake either, Dang It, we like strawberries too. So we stayed home all alone, all day. We didn't get to meet Petey either or help make tutus. So from here on out Mommy will show ya want happened yesterday.

 First the ladies making tutus.....

Now what you came to see..........Petey

Yesterday you saw Petey sleeping. Well he wasn't the only one trying to sleep.
After we woke up I got a big kiss.

Our little man.......

Look at those eyes.
Bridgette's dress looks perfect for the parade.

This little video will show how small Petey is compared Jennifer's dogs.

Susan with Tag

Tag's story.........

This is Tag. He is Jennifer and her parents' forever foster. He was adopted once but the lady that adopted him couldn't take care of herself much less Tag, so he came back to ATDR. He was a senior, at 10, we think, when he came into rescue for the first time. He has been with Jennifer and her family 5 years now and will be with them until he leaves for the bridge. He is now at least 15 years old, again we think. He can't hear anymore, is almost blind, is always cold and incontinent so he wears a belly band. He is a vital part of their family and loved by all. February is Senior Adoption Month at ATDR.  Seniors are special, I know, Weenie was 10 when I adopted him and I haven't regretted a minute of it. I will be doing ATDR's December adoptions soon. We adopted out 21 precious dogs last month.

God Bless...............the Mommy
