CHRISTMAS PAST & BELATED PICS

 23 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

  • "You can never truly enjoy Christmas until you can look up into the Father’s face and tell him you have received his Christmas gift."

Wow!! It's almost here. Santa Paws is coming to town. Mommy is so jelly of me and the little man. We've gotten like 20 XMAS cards already and she's go zip, nadda, nothing, a big fat 0. So this morning I told the old girl we gotta get started on our Christmas Smilebox for the Christmas Card Exchange.

This post is dedicated to Angel Samantha, Mommy's first little girl. She died in early Jan 2005 and I became Mommy's second little girl in late Jan 2005. She is ever in our hearts. Me and Weenie wish we could have met her. She made Mommy who she is today.

" Please excuse the typist, she's getting all leaky eyed thinking about Angel Samantha and stuff".

Samantha's puppy (that's off limits to Weenie and OK me too.)

I was looking at the Smilebox Mommy made for Christmas 2010 and one picture caught my eye. It was taken in the country in 2008 when we was visiting Dachsies Rule. I was looking out the window missing my 4 brothers and wishing someday I could have another......

Here is my first Christmas Smilebox Mommy made in 2010 with just me and her.

It took 3 years for my Christmas wish to finally come through. That little fella, my bother Weenie, came in Jan 2011  for Mommy to foster and he never left and became my official brother on Valentine's Day. Finally someone to play with so I didn't have to be alone anymore when Mommy was gone.

Here's the video from Weenie and my first Christmas together.

OK now I gotta show you some pictures that Mommy took at the Vet the day Weenie had to stay for the weekend. It will show you how important my brother is to me.  If your wondering where the pictures were all this time, the Doofuss lost the thingie that transfers the pictures to the computer. The cleaners found it Friday under the big bed, like her glasses were last Saturday, but that's a whole different story. I'm telling you the woman needs help.

Me and Weenie at the Vet waiting our turn.

The little fella after he got his shots.

"Sissy, help me. I wanna go home with you."

One last look for 2 whole days.
"The Mommy here....if you've ever noticed my babies like to be together looking at each other. Mona with her eyes and Weenie with his heart."

Watching my brother being taken away.

So sad.

Mommy was so upset that day. The thought of leaving the little fella there over the weekend was too much for her to handle We both cried all the way home that day.  She's not as strong as she used to be before she got sick.

I didn't want to leave my brother there but I didn't want to stay either. Mommy couldn't get me to budge. I locked my paws in the exam room and stood my ground. Joel had to carry me to the car. Mommy and I felt much better when Joel said he would be there with Weenie all weekend. He even called us a couple of times each day to chat. Joel always spoils us. I have a little secret. I'm in love with Joel. Too bad he's human. He thinks of Mommy as his Mommy too because his Mommy lives in Florida and he doesn't get to see her much. Mommy took him under her wing.

Well, I guess I've rattled on too long already and we gotta go watch the football game. GO TEXANS GO!!

Mona you are so cute in your red dress. I can see why you would like Joel. You can tell by the way he is holding you that he really cares. Glad Weenie did well with his treatment and is home feeling better now.

Awww. Siblings are the best, even if we don't always tell them how much we love them.
