Stuffy Action and Sheldon Update

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away,
I hope" -- The Mommy

Weenie here ....

I kinda been sick. It's not that old pancreatitis.
It's something else but Dr Briles isn't sure just what yet. I'd been moaning and groaning all day last Sunday, and for several days before had gotten very lethargic and disoriented, and bumping into stuff, more than usual, so Mommy decided it was time to haul me off and dump me at the Vet Monday. ALL DAY!!

To make a long story short, cause Mommy will just cry if she thinks too much about it, My sugar is too low and I might have cancer. They did a test that takes 5 days to run that will tell if I got the big C. I say lets not panic. The test will be back Tuesday. I also lost 2 pounds in less than 2 months which ain't good for a little guy like me. Dr Briles said to increase my food intake to half a cup twice a day. He's thinks my sugar being to low has to do with me not getting enough nutrients from my food. "Jesus, I been telling them they been starving me for weeks!!" So keep me in your thoughts and prayers but mostly Mommy cause shes gone crackers on me.

Mona here.......

Now that the bad stuff is out of the way let me tell ya about the fun part. Mommy went shopping yesterday to buy stuff for the doggie gift exchange that Sprinkles is sponsoring again. She found these cute little monkeys below that had no stuffing and were supposed to be indestructible. HA!

Me and my monkey in my doggie bed.
Weenie and his monkey in his doggie bed.
Weenie on the big bed.
I'm down here Mommy......

We had a great time playing but then later ...... "Weenie !!"
Weenie coming much slower.
"Weenie, Weenie, Weeeeenie what am I gonna do with you?"
But Mommy.....

The Mommy here.......

I spoke to Cindy, on Friday, who is caring for Sheldon and she said he is doing well and has gained a little weight. He is so sweet and has made friends with two other pups she is caring for, a Boston Terrier and a dachshund. They eat, sleep and play together. He has his own Facebook page now. Any donations towards his care should be made directly to the Dogue de Bordeaux Society of America Rescue at     www.ddbsarescue.org . She said she will keep me posted.

Sheldon now.

Weenie here again..........

As I tried to tell Mommy, I was only practicing for the Olympics. Are you? That's it for now. Mommy's going on a home visit now and this time Mona gets to go. "Now where is then rest of that monkey?"

Sniff ya later............Weenie

OH Weenie, we're certainly praying it's just a food issue and a super easy fix to get you feeling better. Please keep us posted.

That was a really good job on that toy. I tell you, they need a money back guarantee on those things...and beds. I try not to talk about beds much b/c I get in trouble.

Sending much love out to Weenie. Mr. Scout would moan and groan every now and then. When I took him to the dog-tor it was found out that he had severe arthritis in his back. Bet Weenie has some of that, too. Maybe an x-ray of his back might be in order, too.
