Pitty Post Day & HOTEL RESERVATIONS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"If my dogs aren't welcome, neither am I."

~~~ The Mommy .
(flower in front of SJMC)
Happy Birthday Corbin
SHELBY
Look at both of these faces. Do you see something to fear in either? I used to. Everybody said pits weren't to be trusted. I was so wrong and it took one abused pit to change that life long misconception. We all know Shelby's story so I won't go into it now.  I just know that the Fearless Five would not have done what they did were that to be true. Now Brinks and Bella remain to show me how wrong I was. I am proud of all our pit friends and thank God thst Shelby came into my life to show me the way.
Have you ever been somewhere where you weren't welcome because of your dogs or kitties?  I have and I always say "If my dogs aren't welcome, neither am I." That's why I decided to post the following.
My advice is CALL AHEAD.
A man was planning a visit to a small Midwestern town on his vacation. He wanted to take his dog with him, but was concerned that the only hotel in the area might not accept dogs so he wrote a letter to the hotel.
The letter read: "Dear Sir, I would to like to make a reservation at your hotel, but I would like very much like to bring my dog with me on my stay. He is a gentle dog; very well-groomed and well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room at night?"
An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote: "Sir, I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal drinking glasses, towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill."
"Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel, and if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."
"All Dogs Are Welcome"
Nothing much happened yesterday since I spent almost half of the day working on ATDR's MAY Adoption post. The rest of the day I spent napping and taking the cure, which means sitting with  the hating pad, with Weenie on one side and Baby Girl on the other. God forbid if either one touches the other.  No biting or fighting, just snarling. Mona just ignores them both. I guess I've spoiled the boy but he's so cute it's hard not to. I did take a few pictures yesterday of them outside. They were all watching my every move. It's like have 3 extra shadows. Thanks for the prayers and good vibes. I will be having a EMG and a MRI this week.Wish me luck.
Not quite touching but getting closer.
God Bless...........The Mommy
I think Miss Shelby changed a lot of hearts and minds. She wasn't here for long but the lessons she taught will last a lifetime.
Awwwwwwwwww, sweet creatures of love. My father in law had a black and tan doxie...Mitsy. She was a doll. I had a red one when I was single...but living in the foothills of Colorado a pack of dogs just well.....he didn't survive the ordeal.
Makes me sad.
But your post brought on a bunch of huge smiles!!!
Hi Mona, Weenie and mom
We hopped over from NC to say hi and thank you for visiting
Us yesterday!! My families very first pet, 37 years ago, was a mighty mini Doxie named Toto!! You are so right no explanation needed. Even now 37 years later they still tell Toto stories. Mom says I am a Doxie in a feline body!!Mol
