MUNCH TO THE RESCUE -- PART 2

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

  “Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me. ”
~~~Fred Rogers
  “Anyone who does anything to save a pup or kitty in his life is a hero to me. ”
 ~~~The Mommy
Mindy, Aunt Paula, Munch
Mindy & Munch

 We're back to finish the rescue story......

Last Wednesday, a week ago on the same day she was adopted, one of our newly adopted pups (actually between 5-7 years old), "they are always pups to Mommy", got away from her new home. She was found Saturday morning after the efforts of a whole bunch of DROH volunteers. Mindy is an escape artist and managed to slip out the door of the trailer where she was staying and was gone in a flash.

MINDY

Aunt Paula spearheaded the search. Everyday from Wednesday to Saturday, she would go to the trailer park and stay for hours looking for Mindy. She would see her but couldn't catch her. So Aunt Paula would sit on the ground with a treat in her hand and wait for Mindy to come to her and finally Mindy would come BUT as soon as she got it she would dart away. She stayed close to the trailer park, even going up on the deck of the trailer, hiding under cars and GOD only knows where else. DROH would leave her food and water and she'd come eat after dark when everybody had left for the night. Aunt Paula said there were so many people from the trailer park chasing Mindy that she was scared.

Saturday morning, Aunt Brinda came with Munch to help. Well that's all it took. Munch saw her and wanted to play. She ran under a car and Munch followed her and tried to get her play. So while Mindy was distracted, Aunt Paula and Aunt Brinda got on each side of the car. Munch popped out with Mindy right behind him. Aunt Paula grabbed her as she came out. She was finally caught and as you saw yesterday on the video she is safe. She will not be going back to the adopter so she is....... AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.

We are all so proud of our Munch and Aunt Paula.

 Sniff ya later........Weenie

Mindy sure is cute and I sure would like to have her as a friend. But can you imagine two doggies with the same name in one house? BOL. Glad she was saved and hope she finds a forever home soon!

That was really smart to get another dog to get her.

That may or may not have worked with me if I escaped. Of course, I would NEVER do anything naughty like that.
