OUR MOMMY, THE FLAKE, FROM 5 TO ALMOST 64

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"You are in control of your own Destiny"

OK, this is it. Have we got a flake for you!! Take a close look at this picture. It's the wild & wooley Ricca girls from like a 100 years ago. For those of you who haven't seen this picture before, our Mommy is on the left, if your looking right at the picture. She's the one with her head down with her peepers looking down. Remember that look, cause your gonna see it again in just a minute. Mommy was around 5 years old in this picture.

We got 3 FLAKE stories for you. Of course there are hunderds but I can vouch for one because I, Mona, was there when it sarted.

Recent FLAKE happening:

OMD!! She actually wore this thing on her head at work.....all day. Never ever, dare her to not do something stupid. Not to worry, it was at the Thanksgiving luncheon and everybody was acting stupid that day.

Lookit those eyes. hers not the creature's, just like when she was a child.

FLAKE happening......the beginning.

Remember this picture? It was on my 11/28/09 post when Oreo tried to eat me. It's true!! He chased me under the car. I was terrified and Mommy just laughed at me. Angel Samantha was the fearless one and loved horses, not me. I DO NOT LIKE HORSIES!!

OREO, the devil pony

Later on that day guess what? Oreo followed us up on the porch and ate the tip of her tennis shoe off. I told her she deserved it.......God does not like dirty and Mommy was mean to me.
This is what Oreo did to Mommy's shoe.......
Now for the flakey part. She couldn't find her good tennis shoes one day so she wore the pair with the hole to work even though she knew there was hole was in the toe. Well, her excuse was she couldn't go barefoot to work. Somebody noticed the hole and told her about it. She said:

"I know it. It's my airhole because my feet get hot!!"

NOW .....

The third flake...........the biggest of them all. Remember the little 5 year girl above? She had a make believe friend named CLYDE from the time she was 5 until she knew better.

MEET CLYDE...............

she met him for the first time hanging from a tree, when she was crying under thee tree because nobody wanted to play with her. He told her nobody wanted to play with him either. So they became the best of friends. He was her protector too. He would sit under the table curled around her feet when she and her sisters and cousins would play penny-anti-poker with their Grandpa. He would crawl around under the table and slither up everybody's chair and report back to her what cards they had. Most little peeps have make believe friends too but nobody had a snake!!

That's it. Watcha think?

Are YOUR Mom and FRANKIE's Mom related somehow??? You know, because of the um, interesting, headware?! BOL! We're cracking up at the airhole in her tennis shoes! That's very clever :) OUR Mom is freaking out a little over her snakey friend. Mom DOES NOT like the snakes. They kinda scare her!
This is gonna be an interesting and FUN contest! We love reading how flaky OTHER pups' peeps are, too! Great entries Mona!

Hey Mona!
Wow, that's one true flake you've got there! BOL Love the hat and the air conditioned shoes. Your Mom's co-workers must find this all very entertaining. A furiend snake is actually very cool...to me anyway! Thanks so much for sharing your Peep Flake examples and you're now in the drawing!
Happy New Year!

Great flake tales, Mona. Our Mom is a flake too, but we don't have a really good story, at least none as good as all of yours.

Wishes to you for 2012 to be happy, healthy, peaceful, and love-filled.

I remember the story about Oreo the Pony!

Poor little Mona, hiding under the car. Maybe it's mean, but a tiny bit of me laughed when I saw the look in her eyes as she peeked out. It said: "Quit laughing Mommy and HELP ME!!!"

When I was a little girl, one of my most beloved dogs was a wirehair dachshund named Phoebe. I never knew she was a dachshund until I started reading your blog. I only knew doxies as "smooth coat", and when I saw Mona I realized that Phoebe was a wirehair too! Phoebe was black and tan, though, not lovely black and silver.

I love your idea for the quilt, and I'm glad you're doing better.
