I'M FINE MOMMY, REALLY I AM!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held it's ground"

Hi friends,

Weenie had been under the weather lately, his poop shooter was messed up and while we was at the groomer Friday it went overboard. So Mommy went and got us from work and took us to our Vet. Weenie is doing OK but still taking his medicine. Since I was with them, Mommy decided to have my 6 month post cancer blood work done since it was almost time for it, and that's when it turned bad for me. Everything was good except for my liver and gal bladder tests. Let me say right now I am fine regardless of what they think. Dr Briles put me on medication to take for 3 weeks and then get an Ultrasound, if I didn't get any better. Mommy was gonna wait the whole 3 weeks but she's such a worry wart that she decided to go ahead with it. I do not like going to the Vet, much less a specialist. So we went yesterday and this is how it went. You'd think Mommy would have left the flashy beast at home but NO!!

Waiting our turn.

Taking my vitals.
Your gonna do what?
All done!! Can we go now?
Yahoo, I'm outta here!
Mommy isn't good at explaining stuffs. She gets very emotional bout me and Weenie. Her tongue gets all tied up, so to let you know what's going on here's the e-mail Mommy sent Mayor Frankie Furter since he was worried......

.

Mona did very well with the Ultrasound. The Ultrasound showed no significant abdominal abnormalities. During the examination prior to the Ultrasound the doctor felt a mildly enlarged liver on abdominal palpation.

Diagnosis is Hepatopathy of unknown cause - possible causes include infectious versus autoimmune or neoplastic. (typed exactly as written).

She was given Clavamox to take every 12 hours, will continue to take the Denosyl Dr Briles gave us Friday and her usual Benadryl and Pepcid.

On Sept 17th, her blood will be tested again, as was originally planned. If her liver values are not approved or worse, ultrasound guided liver biopsies will be done. (typed exactly as written)

So we are back to where we started. Clavomox is an antibiotic and may cause vomiting, diarrhea and loss of appetite, so I have to watch her closely. The girl never misses a meal and if she does I'll know she is not feeling well. She was prancing around showing off her harness and charming everybody. She's gonna be fine, I pray, but for the next 3 weeks, I'll be as nervous wreak.

Thanks so much for being such good friends.

Love ya ... Sarah

OK, after all that anguish Mommy gave me and Weenie new stuffies.
"I'm still mad at you Mommy!!"
So I took a nap with my new Elephant.

Thanks dear friends for sending good vibes my way!!

BTW....this little sidestep will NOT effect my Roaching 202 class.

{{{huggies}}}......Mona

Us mommies just care about our furbabies! I think Jada was really mad at me for the past month of going to the vet twice and also getting baths every week. It's because we care :) Good luck with your upcoming blood test and I'm keeping my fingers (and Jada her paws!) crossed for you!
