Hi there friends,

It's me and Weenie, finally home again with our Mommy, where we belong. We had a good time at Tina & Chris's playing with Gordo, Mr Grins and Baby Girl but I missed Mommy so much, I didn't eat for 2 whole days and then Chris had to hand feed me on the third day. After that I was OK and Weenie got so attached to Tina and helped her plant her new vegetable garden. This week was Spring Break so their daughter Emily, you've met her before, was home all this week. This picture was taken yesterday as we was driving Mommy home. Usually it's just me driving but Weenie was glued to Mommy just like I was so we both helped.

Can you believe it. Mommy had our grass cut on Wednesday and all the old smells was gone from our backyard. The new yardman had the nerve to weed around my hidey hole and all my hidden treats was gone.

"Hey, Mona maybe the tree rats stole your treats?"

"No, Weenie, we don't got no trees in the backyard!"

Anyway, it didn't take us long to leave our marks all over the backyard.

Weenie here........I missed Mommy too and maybe I couldn't see her but I knew my Mommy had come to get me as soon as I took a good sniff. There's nothing like the comforting smell of a Mommy!! She hasn't been out my sniffer range since we got back home.

Sissy was even more excited to see Mommy than me. She heard our car turn into the driveway & almost broke the screen door down trying to get to her. Of course the Mommy cried the minute she saw us. Sissy has had Mommy in her sight since we got home. Her sniffer isn't as good as mine.

The Mommy here.....There is no way I can explain the feeling of joy that came over me when I was able to bring Mona & Weenie home full time for the first time in 2 weeks. I was kinda afraid Weenie might haven't forgotten me since he had only been with us for a month before I went into the hospital. I was wrong!! The first thing I did when we got home was love on each one while we tried out the new swivel rocker/recliner I bought just for them. It's so much easier to pick Weenie up when I can turn in whatever direction he is in.

Mona here.......I gotta tell you about what we missed because Mommy isn't supposed to be walking around much right now. The Houston Hound Rescue Alliance had their first ever "Ain't Nothin' But Hound Dogs" rescue event. Mommy was gonna work in the ATDR booths with Aunt Judy and the usual ladies. DROH had booths too and every kind of hound rescue group, was there too. Mommy got a e-mail a little while ago saying that ATDR made $1000.00 today selling harnesses, T-shirts, etc. Of course Aunt Judy and Miss Diana made all the harnesses.

And guess what?? Elvis was in the house. Yep he showed up! Here is the video Brinda sent us. Pretty funny ... he hasn't changed a bit!!
