New Year's Day in the Country

Hi dear friends! It's me, Mona, blogging from the country on Aunt Mary's computer. We came for New Year's Day and my bestest dachsie friends kept their tree up for me to enjoy since Mommy was Scrooge and didn't put up MY tree!!!

In case you have forgotten what I look like in the last few weeks, here I am.

Here is me with Mommy's second best girl, Roxie.

And here is the biggest dachshund I have ever seen! Hehe ... this is Emma. She isn't really a dachsie but she thinks she is ... she is a lab/pit mix. When she isn't trying to get to know me, she is a real sweetie.

See how well Emma fits in as a dachsie. Can you tell which one is not the dachsie?

Here is Jake. Every time Mommy sees Jake she thinks of my brother Jacks. She still misses him so much and I miss him too.

Here is Andy. He is working his "cute face magic" on Mommy. It works on Aunt Mary and Aunt Bec every time so Mommy didn't have a chance.

Here is Sammy. He used to be my boyfriend. I had forgotten how handsome he is!!! Keep back, girls. We renewed our relationship this weekend so he is ALL MINE!!!! (Poor Tiger)

Here is Mommy's second best girl. Mommy would take her home with us if she could figure how to sneak her out of the house. Aunt Mary keeps a close eye when we get ready to leave. If she can't find Roxie, Mommy better watch out. (Mommy: What a beautiful face. Such a pretty girl!)

Here we all are just hanging out on the back porch. It was a wonderful sunny day! We ran around. We laid in the sun. We barked at cowdogs. I ran away from Emma.

Here is a dachsie train. It is the new dance craze we just started. It will be the most popular dance of 2011.

Jake is catching a few rays.

Emma doing her yoga. This is the very difficult roaching position. If you don't believe me, you try it.

And you know the people had to eat. These were the appetizers. They followed it up with lots of yummy smelling food. They had black eyed peas for good luck. They had cabbage for money. They had ham for wealth and then had citrus for good health.

Here is a video of Emma trying to get to know me ... AGAIN!

Well, they have lemon bars to eat and then we get some dinner so I gotta go and move them along. I hope your New Year's day was as fun as mine! Mommy and I wish that each and every one of you has a blessed and healthy 2011.

We love you!

{{{Huggies}}} ... Mona, Roxie, Sammy, Andy, Jake, Emma and those old people

Good to see you again, Mona. It sure looks like it was a very fun day at Aunt Mary's. And since Mom could post from another computer, it sounds like it is her computer that has the problem and not blogger. Could she maybe have a virus of some sort?

Happy New Year!

I had ham and black eyed peas for dinner at my parents house. I didn't realize that cabbage was supposed to bring money. Will have to have some of that next year for sure.

I'm glad you had such a fun day at Aunt Mary's house.

I had tube steaks and SauerKraut.
We could NEVER furget what you look like. I am glad you got to do a posty. Sorry you are still having a problem with posting from home.
I guess I would say... since you CAN post in other locations... it Must be something with you computer itself.

I took mine to Staples and they went over it for FREE. Perhaps you could try that.
