QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side."

Hi friends,

Remember Aunt Tina and Chris's little girl doggie? Your met her before on my blog. Well guess what? Baby Girl is staying the weekend with me and Mommy. It's time for me to go back to my cancer doctor on Monday and Mommy is scared. She's such a worry wart. I keep telling her I am fine but you how our Mothers' can be. So she decided that chasing after 2 girls would keep her busy. I just know that Mommy loves Baby Girl but I'm still her number 1 girl. Mommy is taking Monday off to take me to see my oncologist and then she is taking me and Baby Girl to visit with Aunt Judy and my dachshund friends. We are taking her home Monday afternoon and I'll get to visit with Mr Grins and Gordo.

Baby Girl
Me when Mommy told me we was having company.

So tonight, I just wanted to show a few pictures of me and Baby Girl getting reacquainted.
Here I was trying get a Milk bone "Gravy bones" snack before bedtime.

Hurry Mommy, I can't stand like this forever.

Baby Girl just gave Mommy that "I'm starving" look.

Here I am on one of my spare beds with my treat.

Here's Baby Girl in my bed. Mommy said I gotta play nice and be a good hostess, so that's why I'm in the spare bed.

******
SJMC were Mommy works believes in honoring their Veterans and there are lots of veterans working at St Joseph Medical Center.

Yesterday at our Veterans Day Program we talked about the importance of remembering and thanking those who have kept this “the land of the free, the home of the brave.”

Here’s one more reminder that Veterans Day should be celebrated in your heart all year long.

********

Your cell phone is in your pocket.

He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags. He knows he may never see some of his buddies again.

You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.

He patrols the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists. He's told he may be held over an extra 2 months.

You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.

He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.

You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.

He holds his letter close and smells his loves perfume.

You roll your eyes as a baby cries.

He gets a letter with pictures of his new newborn child and wonders if they'll ever meet.

You criticize your goverment, and say that war never solves anything.

He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.

You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like him.

He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.

You see only what the media wants you to see.

He sees the broken bodies lying around him.

You are asked to do something by your parents. You don't.

He does exactly what he is told even if he puts his life in danger.

You stay home and watch TV.

He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep and eat.

You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.

He tries to sleep but gets awakened by mortars and helicopters all night long
.

REMEMBER our troops and do not forget them LATER.

Lest we forget..........

That was a most beautiful tribute to our troops. We are ever so thankful to them for their service.

Good luck at your V.E.T., Mona! I know that everything will be A-OK! You and Baby Girl just be your precious selves and I know it'll take your momma's mind off of it.
