TEXAS WIENER FEST 2010

 21 DAYS UNTIL HALLOWEEN
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Spay and neuter your pets, weird relatives and mean people."

Mommy!! Where am I? Am I dreaming, it's so dark out here. All I see is  bright eyes staring back at me and little sausages running all around. I tried to eat one but it bit back. I thought we was going to a party.
                                                           Help! HELP!! Help!

MOMMY!!      What's that flying around up there and why is that cat blinking at me.
2 hours later..........
Wow, it sure is cold but at least Mommy brought my hoodie for me. It's not my fault she's shivering. This is Texas so not to worry, it'll get hot before noon. So after Byron, Tami's husband, set up ATDR's kissing booth, I snuggled under a blankie and supervised the ladies setting up all are stuffs.

OK...I'm all set up and ready to star the kissing.
The harness racks....Mommy bought me a Texas A&M harness and cap to wear since we was at College Station, before the crowds showed up and bought us out. All of the Aggies stuff sold real fast.
 The collars.

Diana on the right, setting out one of the blanket she made. All the harnesses, collars, blankets, snuggle beds, belly pads, leashes and a bunch of other stuffs were all made by Diana & my Aunt Judy.

Finally it was time to get ready for the kissing to begin. This is Aunt Judy getting my Aggie cap just right. OK who's first!!

This was my first customer, Byron, but I gave him a freebie because he was the only man that came to help the ladies do the manual labor.

Here I am. Just $1.00 for a kiss or a hug. No charge for petting. All treats,
 except chocolate welcome.

 Tami, Byron's wife....she got a freebie too.
Some folks just wanted to hold me.

5 hours later.........

Mommy! It's hot and the sun is making me blind. Where's all the cool air gone. I need a potty break and a little nap under the table, it's cool down there.
Dachshunds On Parade.
My goodness!! There was all kind of dachshunds there. Big ones, little ones, fat ones, hairy ones, naked ones and all kinds of colors, some Mommy had never even seen before. Of course the camera's battery went dead half way through the day so Mommy didn't get a picture of a Harlequin one. I keep trying to tell to buy a spare battery, but do you think she listens to me....Nope. What a Doofuss.

A little cowgirl and her dachshund horsey.

 Mommy and Schnitzel

Lots of doggies were dressed up for the Halloween custom contest. These were Mommies fafavorite pair of bugs.

My next post will have lots of pictures of some of the other doggies that were there. The wanna be dachshunds. I saw some Macks, Bolo and Lolas, Khyras, Mangos (both kind), Maggie & Mitches and lots more that looked just like you guys.

This is the mascot for the event....ever seen a blue dachshund?

One last picture. This is Schnitzel. He is a very special boy and stole my Mommy's heart and he will steal your heart too. We will be doing a special post of him soon.

Love and {{{huggies}}} to all....Mona

PS............I'm all out of kisses.

A few bonus pictures of  the sausages.

That looks like such a fun time! Well, all of it except for wearing out your kisser. Next time, take extra pucker power or demand a union break.
