LOTS OF DOGGIES -- PART 1

20 DAYS UNTIL HALLOWEEN

 QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take
                                                                 your breath away." - Unknown

Tonight's post was just supposed to be about the other doggies I saw at Wiener Fest but
OH MY DOG there was so many that there is no way I can post them all in one day, so my next post will be Part 2 of Lots Of Doggies.

I gotta tell you about our stay at the Motel 6 in College Station. Them stingy old Mommies didn't want to spend a lot of money since we was only gonna be in the room for less than 8 hours but let me tell you..........BIG, BIG MISTAKE!!

The room had 2 double beds with a narrow little walkway between the two beds and each bed was pushed against a wall so Mommy said that was OK but every time she turned she'd hit the wall and her footsies hung off the bed. Them was some tiny little double beds! Of course, I did take up most of that bed. A girl has a get her beauty sleep, ya know. To bad neither of us sleep much.

Mommy never sleeps good when we travel BUT this time it wasn't the usual excitement factor. It was the racket going on outside until 3:00 am. College Station is a college town right! Well the hotel was packed with them college kids and they was partying big time. Now Mommy has nothing against having a good time but ya gotta draw the line some where.

2:00 am...........Mommy!! What's that? !! ? The wall is shaking and it sounds like somebody hit the wall!!  I been barking and barking but they won't stop. Don't they got any security around here?

5:00 am............I had to go pee, so Mommy took me outside to potty. Each room had it's own A/C unit and there was bear bottles and cans on every single one. I had to sidestep broken glass to get to the grass so Mommy said some HBO words and carried me back to the room. Thank goodness she brought some pee pads. One word: DISGUSTING.
6:00 am..............All that stuff at the hotel was behind us. As you saw yesterday, all us doggies got  dumped into jail until daylight. That's when Mommy lost her heart to this little fella, Schnitzel. OMD!! who wouldn't fall in love with a face like that and only at 4 months old. When Mommy heard he was hours away from being killed, yes that's what it really means when they put one of us down,  because of his birth defect she cried. I promise, Mommy will be doing a post soon about her new little friend and this special little boy.

8:00 am..............I am a wirehair doxie. right!! Mommy is very proud of me being a dachshund BUT my goodness, there was so many handsome doggies that was turning my head. My poor Tiger would have been so ashamed of me giving free kisses away to any doggie that wanted a kiss. There just was too many doggies to post all at one time so here is the first installment.

Many of these looked like so many of you that I almost thought it was you.

Moose?
Mackie is that you!

 Shark alert!!

Lilly, does Mack know where you are?
OMD.....Bolo, you came! but you look so much smaller in person...where's Lola?

I got paid for my kisses. Wanna guess how many kisses Mommy gave to all them doggies for free? More doggies tomorrow.

Love & {{{huggies}}}....Mona

PS....I'm resting my kisser for awhile.

Hi Mona! Wow that is a lot of doggies you got to meet - how fun! And we know Tiger will understand about the kisses - it is your heart being with him that is important!

And oh, we are worried about the Schnitzle story - what a cutie he is and we know if it made your mom sad we will be sad too.

That's a LOT of doggies! That beagle looks like my dad's really ancient beagle when she was much younger.

I really, really, really hope Schnitzel wasn't euthanized. I mean, there are people with birth defects born every single day and we don't euthanize them! I want to cry now.

I don't blame you for resting your kisser. Looks like you had a work out.

And thanks for the comment. My mom just always worries that something went wrong and treasures her friends. :)
