PUPPY EYES AND A ROSE FOR MY FRIENDS DAY 4

 For my dearest friends

Roses for you and your family.
Today the puppies are exactly 3 weeks old.
All of the pictures on this post were taken today.

It seems like yesterday that they looked like tiny little piglets with their eyes closed shut.

Well they are all fat and sassy now with their eyes wide open, so we wanted to show you a picture of each one staring
 back at you.

(Mona here....My Doofuss Mommy accidentally deleted Baron out of his spot and she don't know how to get him back where he belongs so ya just gotta forgive her and slide down to the bottom of this post to see him. Good help is so hard to come by these days.)

Pattie Cake
aka Moo Moo and Fatty Cakes

Before we go any further, Sandra said we just had to tell you a little something special about Pattie Cake. She was the first born and as you can see quite chubby. She is the leader of the pack after Shelby, of course. All the pups like to cuddle with her because since she is so fat, she keeps them warm.

Here are a few random shots. Mommy held each pup and loved on them. How do I know? Cause she had that new born puppy smell all over her.

Here are a few pictures of Shelby doing what she does best:
Mothering her pups.

                                                      A very tired Shelby.

Update on Shelby medical condition:

As you can tell from the pictures of the puppies, they all appear to be in good health. Next Saturday we will be taking them to be wormed and have their first round of shots.

Sandra is afraid that Shelby might be running out of milk, so we may have to ween them sooner than we would like. Mommy was talking to the director of Great Dane Rescue and she said that if we do have to ween them early, to give them goats milk. I don't know if that's true or not but I'm sure Dr Briles will advise what will be best for the pups.

As you can see from the last picture of Shelby, she is starting to have skin problems again. She was doing so well but when we found out she was pregnant all her medications were stopped. The first thing we want to do after the puppies are weened is work on her skin again and get her spayed as soon as it's safe to have it done. Also start the heart worn treatment and see what the plan is on her eye. So much yet to be done yet.

Hope you enjoyed the puppy eyes.

Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}}.....Mona

Pete and Megan are looking pawsome. Please let us know if we can help anymore with Shelby and the pups medical bills as we aren't sure what the going rate is for deworming and skin treatments and heartworm treatments and the such.

I hope all goes well and Shelby can start her treatment again. This was probably her 10th litter and I'll bet she's ready to be spayed and taken care of for the rest of her life!

They are too precious and Shelby is such a wonderful mom. I hope she is able to worry-free from the health problems in the very near future.

Do any of the pups have future homes lined up yet?

I've heard about goat's milk, too! Guess it is very easy for little tummies to digest. If the babies are beginning to have their little toofies - at about 4 weeks you can begin to feed them a teeny bit of kibble that has been soaked in water for a little while to get them used to eating on their own.

♥Hats off to Shelby. She is one super-duper momma♥

Stop by our bloggy. There is an event we think you will want to know about.
