Hi my friends,
Why is it that humans can eat chocoalate but us doggies can't? Mommy said we will get the sickies and maybe even die if we eat any, so all you doggies leave the room while your pawrents take a choclote test.
Mommy played it and she doesn't even like chocolate, but boy show her a piece of blackberry pie and get out of her way!!
YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLTE MATH
This is pretty neat. DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute ...
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things. it's FUN!
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10).
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold).
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait for you while you while you get the calculator.
5. If you hve have already had your birthday this year add 1760 .. If you haven't, add 1759 ...
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number.
The first digit of this was your original number (I.E., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2010) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.
OK, all my doggies friends, you can come back into the room now.
Hope none of your pawrents went into sugar overload looking at all those pictures.
Loves, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all,,,,Mona
PS....maybe tomorrow I can have my computer back!!

Believe it or not, I had to do the math for her, tsk tsk!

As a former math teacher, mom always gets a big kick out of the different ways they form this game. She used it all the time in her classroom. Lots of fun, but she doesn't like to be reminded of her age at all.

Did somebody say blueberry pie??
Where, oh where, oh where????
How did you do that? How does that work? Because it did work. Now Blog Mom needs to go get something chocolate and there's not much in the house. I hope she doesn't start going all nuts on me. Sometimes that happens when there's nothing around for her fix...er...snack.

the booker man
Hi Mona,
Nice to meet you! We read about you on the DWB news and just wanted to come over and send you some AireZENS to speedy healing. I hope your second surgery will remove all the bad cells, and you'll be back to normal in no time. I had stem cell surgery last month too so I've had to be on bed rest for the last 4 weeks. There is a good supplement for people battling cancer. My holistic vet uses on doggies, too. It's called "Transfer Factor Tri-Factor Plus". I don't have cancer but have other problems, so mum gives it to me to boost my immune system. Maybe you can look into it? Unfortunately it comes in pills......
All the best!
Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade
Hi Mona, I hope things went well for you today and you are feeling sorta back to normal by now. We've been thinking about you all day. And we are praying for you and Mommy.
Snuggles,
Twix
wow, that chocolate math worked! it's just too bad that our mom can not eat chocolate 7 days a week!
we read about Mona's problems and surgeries and all that bad stuff and we just wanted to come by to give you some lovin' and positive poodle power. i, Bailey, have had some surgeries, and currently Baxter is battling his own (completely different) problem. we know how worried and sad it makes your mommy feel and we also know what a huge bummer it is to be inside of a crate for A Long Time. i, Bailey, had a total of 6 months recuperation for 2 stinkin' surgeries. it was more than an eternity.
but anyway, we just want to offer our love and support for a complete and speedy recovery. we'll be pawing for you.
woofs.
Well it worked but I'm not telling the result!
