KEEPING MY EYE ON MOMMY

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I like a bit of a mongrel myself, whether it's a man or a dog."
-- George Bernard Shaw

Hi friends,

Mommy didn't have to work this weekend but then she didn't want to do anything either. So Mommy went out Saturday morning long enough to have breakfast at Denny's, go to Home Depot and to Walgreen's. Mommy has a picture on her desk of Samantha in a tiny frame, that keeps getting knocked over at work, so she brought it home and took it to Walgreen's to get scanned bigger. She is going to put it in the frame she bought with the gift card she got from her Secret Santa. The frame is beautiful and I know it will make Mommy feel good to see Samantha every morning in a bigger frame. Mommy said she would look for another frame, just like it, to put my picture in but I'm already on her desk in a picture with my brother Jacks anyway. Mommy will post the picture on Tuesday for everbody to see.

The weather has been doing it's usual switcharoo. Warm for 2 days and then rainy looking and cloudy again today. Old Man Winter just won't give up. It's gonna get cold tonight and stay that way most of the week with bunches of rain.

I spent most of the weekend sitting in my usual spot looking at the nasty weather. The squirrels and birds weren't even out for me to bark at.

Mostly I spent the weekend following Mommy around and watching her to make sure she wasn't crying. I wouldn't let her out of my sight. I wouldn't even let her go to the bathroom by herself and would sit outside the shower until she was done.

I got in quite a few kisses and lots of licking this weekend because Mommy did cry a little but not near as much as as last year. Good practice for our first DROH rescue participation event of the new year. We are going to an event sponsored by CAMP BOW WOW on Feb 13 th. My kisser has gotta be ready for the Kissing Booth, if it is completed in time.

*************

One more thing before I say goodnight. Paula sent a few pictures she took of Brooklyn with the bone everybody was fighting over last weekend. You can see how big it WAS!!. I say how big it was, since it is only a empty shell now. The first picture is of Brooklyn dragging it to her bed.

The bone is bigger than her and her bed.

Thanks so much everybody for the kind words for my Mommy. They mean a lot to her and me too.

Love, kisses, and {{{hugiues}}} to all.....Mona
