Times awasting to vote & Lazy day Sunday

QUOTE IF THE DAY:

18 days until Christmas

"A dog is one of the few remaining reasons why some people can be persuaded to go for a walk." -- O.A. Battista

Hi dear friends,

Just a reminder that you still have 2 days to send in your guess for the tree decorating contest.
Mommy says the winning tree will be announced at the SJMC associate dinner on the 10th.
The hospital had a Thanksgiving dinner for all the associates that was wonderful but Mommy says the Christmas dinner is always fantastic! They have a talent show, door prizes and plenty of food. Mommy always brings me the meat she doesn't eat so I'm looking forward to it too. Mommy has no idea which tree will win but the popular vote seems to be for #12. The one Mommy likes is the next popular vote and the one the Business Office did only has 2 votes so far. Don't forget to send your vote before midnight on Dec 9th.

Mommy & I stayed home all weekend. She said she was a heathen cause she didn't go to church yesterday and she stayed in her flannel nightgown and socks all weekend. Of course if you read my last post, you know I was a bad girl early Saturday morning but Mommy forgave me. So I made sure I was a good girl all day yesterday. I was kinda disappointed because we missed a Dachsie play date, but Mommy didn't want anybody getting sick because of her. Mommy needed lots of sleep and believe me we got it. We took naps in the recliner, while Mommy was taking the cure, and lots of naps in the bed. I have to say that my Mommy is perfect to cuddle with, cause she's got all that padding, and I of course have to be right next to her.

Mommy has a couple of questions she hopes someone can answer for her. "Why do doggies hog the bed? Isn't a queen size bed big enough for a Mommy and one dog to share? Why does she practically have to sleep on the edge of the bed while said dog has to lay right in the middle, sideways most of the time."

My answer is "isn't that the way it's supposed to be?"

Mommy went back to work today, but she doesn't feel very good but lots better than she was. before. The hospital will not allow anyone with a cold or the flu that has a fever to come to work. Thank goodness she hasn't had any fever.
Gotta go now. Pretty short post for us since Mommy is usually so long winded. It's time for me to make sure Mommy takes her cough medicine and then put her to bed. "Oh what a responsibility taking care of our Mommies can be"

Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all.....Mona

Humph. You better watch out with that bed hog stuff or you will wind up like me. Banished to the dog cave!

Glad your Mom is feeling better! But as for the bed thing? Erm. Tell your Mom that it is really a Big dog bed, and she's lucky that you are sharing with her at all. If that doesn't go over so well, tell her that you are just warming her spot for her. And if that doesn't work? Stay where you are - she'll figure out someway to sleep around you!

PeeEss: Mom and Dad have a king size bed at the House Without Wheels so that everyone can sleep comfortably. In the House With Wheels, some of us sleep comfortably, while Mom generally sleeps in a pretzel-like formation...

Tell Mom to be very careful. We have heard of lots of people who thought they were better and just got worse.

We can't help her out with the bed issue, we don't get to sleep in the beds - only can get on sofas in family room when no humans want them:(
