UNLIKELY ANIMAL FRIENDS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(Arrow, Deffor's brother @ http://deefor-denverdog.blogspot.com/)

"Some of my best leading man have been dogs and horses."

-- Elizabeth Taylor

Hi friends,

Can't visit long today. I have Mommy to myself all day today and tomorrow too. She's a little under the weather but that just means I have her to myself this weekend. We been watching animal movies all day. First we watched "Benji the Hunted" about Benji when he was lost in the woods and he rescues some orphaned cougar cubs and takes them to a Momma cougar while a mean old wolf was chasing him.....very clever that Benji. Then we watched "The Bear", Mommy's most favorite animal movie.......makes her cry at the end, but we all know that is nothing new. Then we watched the "Ugly Dachshund". In a little while we're going to watch "Underdog to Wonderdog" on the animal planet.

But what we are here to tell you about is a program on the NGC "National Geographic Channel"

tonight at 7pm and 10pm CST about the orangutan and dog we featured recently. Their story will be on tonight. So if you want to learn more about this unlikely friendship make sure to watch.

So that got Mommy to thinking about some of the unusual friendships we have seen or heard of. Some we've posted about before but worth a second look.

One picture we didn't post was the hardest friendship to understand and the most special one of all. Man & Dog!! What made the dog crossover to stand at man's side when it could have remained wild? What makes a dog forgive and forget but humans can't. What would our humans do with us and us without them? My Mommy knows.

{{{huggies}}}...Mona & the Mommy too!!!

We think that friends come in all kinds of sizes and colors and packages. You don't have to look alike to ♥ each other. Just ask our kitty, Forrest. He doesn't wanna cuddle wif the other kitties in our house - he heads fur Scout da 'triever and purrs and kneads and sniffs and licks and sleeps right next to him alla' the time.

We find friends in the most unusual places, it just requires an open mind. Hope mom feels better soon.

I think there is a reason God put dogs and humans together and that is to show the silly humans what unconditional love looks like. They have such a hard time with that for some reason. Give your Mom some extra doxies kisses and hugs from me. Hope she feels better soon and she doesn't wear you out taking care of her.

Mom has not given up on getting a picture of Tanner, but she did get a picture of a CAT in our yard with some weeds, lol.

Domi, the therapy dog, has passed to the Bridge this weekend. Our blog contains her last letter to her friends. Please come to visit. It would mean so much to our momma and then go to Domi's blog to offer condolences. Momma is crying a lot today.

Good morning Mona and Mommy!!!
We are thrilled to meet you and would love to stay in touch. You are a lovely girl and our first wire haired dachshund friend. Yes we would be honored to be on your daily 'friends' post. Mom said she'd send a picture. Could you tell us how you want to receive it...via email? If so please send us your email. Mom feel better soon.Normally on Mondays we have a Toto (1973-1983) story. He was a mighty mini dachshund and our family's first pet. This week's story will be up tomorrow.

Oh, I remember the time when we had too puppies in the house. It was a lovely time, stressful too.
Do you work for an animal's rescue NGO, too? I do, in Transylvania, Romania. I'll be eager to chat about animal rescue cases.
Very nice blog!

An Leaked Lady GaGa Song was Unsealed this afternoon with no traces of where it was found.
Some say that it was leaked from GaGa's Record Label's headquarters.
