HELP NEEDED AGAIN!!

QUOTE IF THE DAY: (courtesy of Clover @ http://sunshineandmudpuddles.blogspot.com/)

"Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful."

-- Ann Landers

Hi friends,

Well Mommy has her hand out again. Remember she's not too proud to beg. We just found about another adorable pug that needs help. Funny thing is Mommy isn't sure if the pug is a boy or a girl. I like to think the doggie is girl. He or She's name is Bubba Lee Jo. Here is his/her story in her own words.

http://dallaspugrescue.blogspot.com/

Hello! My name is Bubba Lee Jo. I am just a young kid, and don't know why I was put in Pug Jail. There were lots of people walking past me, but no one stopped to say "hello". Well, I have a winky eye, so maybe someone did and I just couldn't see them with my hurt eye or maybe it's because I lost all my fur. Anyway, after a couple days of scratching and waiting, a nice lady picked me up and took me to the doctor. I was so happy when I found out she was from Pug Rescue! I thought they were just a legend, but they are real! I am at the doctor right now, and they are putting nice things on my skin to make me feel better. They said my skin does not have sarcoptic mange, but I have heart worms and someone said my hips are funny so they may need to be looked at, too. The rescuers said I am what they call a high-dollar rescue so please help if you can. I'm just glad to be inside and getting all this attention.

Please help if you can.

BOCA Update: I spoke to Nancy with Pug Rescue tonight and asked how Boca was doing after her surgery to repair the damage to her jaw. The doctor decided to go ahead with a second surgery because he wasn't completely satisfied with the results of the first surgery. He wanted better for her than just being able to shut her mouth. Good news!!! She is doing wonderful and is now available for adoption. Nancy said she might have already been adopted, we sure hope so.
Nancy said they got tons of donations for Boca, that weren't from their usual benefactors. I know that a lot of my DWB friends gave what they could and Mommy thanks you from the bottom of her heart as I know Dallas Pug Rescue does too.

Now for the excitement!!!!

Don't I look excited?

You know how I always say that me and Mommy go on play dates so I can play with Aunt Judy's boys? Well I can't say that anymore. Can you guess why? Aunt Judy adopted Brooklyn Sunday afternoon. Yahoo!!!!

Now I have a girl to play with and not just the boys. I actually get along with Brooklyn. You know I didn't like Nikki much but that was because when Mommy was fostering her, I was jealous of her and thought she was taking Mommy away from me. I know now Mommy will never leave me. So Brooklyn is my city girl friend and Roxie is my country girl friend and we can ignore them boys if we want. Not that Mommy would ever ignore any doggie.

And some more excitement!!!

I made a new friend and she is a gorgeous 12 week old Maltese named Sophie.
Her Mommy works with my Mommy and she is gonna go with us next time we go visit the boys..........oops..........I meant Brooklyn and the boys.

Brooklyn, with her favorite toy, a ball.

My new friend, Sophie. Her Mommy, Pam, said she wants to play 24/7 but when she gets pooped out, she wants to nap and goes to the same spot and drapes herself across her Mommy's house shoes. Isn't she the cutest thing? Mommy said she can't wait to take a bunch of pictures next time we see her.

Gotta go now, it's almost time for Dancing with the Stars, the results and we never miss it. Mommy likes Kelly Osborn and the guy for the Iron Chef, Mike something, known as the Chairman.

Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all......Mona

Sophie has a beautiful name and she is adorable!! Mom got a bit teary at the pic of Sophie sleeping across her mom's slippers because that reminded her of ME! I used to do that when I was a wee pup too..

Hi Mona!
we are so sad to hear about the poor little pug, but are glad you have Brooklyn to play with not.
The only thing better than playing with dogies, is playing with more dogies!

Thank you for posting about little Bubba Lee Jo, I got to see Bubba at PugOWeen and get pictures and Bubba is doing SO MUCH better now, with hair growing in and looking fatter and healthier.
We had a wonderful PugOWeen with almost 500 peeps and their pugs there to raise money for pug rescue. There were a few cute little doxies there too! : )
sending many hugs from your north Texas rescue neighbors,
