Mommy wanted to share the update posted Friday evening on Boca.
Aug. 29 - An update on Boca's surgery:
Taken from Dallas Worth Pug Rescue website.
Thank everyone that has donated so far to Boca and her surgeries. Boca went to surgery yesterday (Friday) and was in surgery for a little over five hours. Dr G told us that this was one of the more difficult surgeries he had ever done. The good news is that the surgery for the most part was a huge success. Her jaw is now stable and her tongue has retracted back into her mouth. So the bottom line is today Boca is resting comfortably and we hope will regain more use of her tongue. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
Let me introduce you to 3 healthy puggies that belong to Nancy Medina who is a volunteer with DFW Pug Rescue. They have a blog too. It was through Nancy that Mommy found out about Boca and asked for your help. Nancy wrote a comment on my blog thanking us for all the help but the thanks belong to all of the DWB community that has helped with Boca's medical expenses. From the bottom of me and Mommy's hearts we want to thank all of you too. Some day soon maybe Boca will be fat and sassy too just like these cuties.
Mona and Mommy, thank you so much for posting the story about little Boca Puggy. This poor baby has such a hard time eating and drinking and Dr. G is hoping we will have her feeling better very soon. Thank you to everyone who donated to help with her surgery Friday.

I am so happy that Boca is doing better, I can't stand to think of what happened to her. The pugs in the picture were chubby and very happy and I bet Boca will be also. Thank you Mona and Mommy for sharing that. I think it is our duty to help those who don't have a choice.

Awww. Hopefully Boca will be happier now. We love pugs! It's my teenager's favorite type of dog. :)
We are glad the surgery went as well as it could have, we can't imagine how difficult it must have been.
